Maybe they're trying to get people to drop out so that they can sign up newer, more eager members that'll max out everything.

While I'm disappointed with the whole SiTR w/Pineapple and Coconuts thing, those things happen, and I completely understand. Not sure if Kumquats is a good sub or not, but it's better than having subpar beer released.

My big comments/concerns moving forward are these:

    1. Almost all of the "society exclusive" beers are going public... And pretty quickly. I honestly chalk it up to a combination of trying to help get Terreux off the ground (was there a few weeks ago and it was almost empty... Go check that place out!) and a few meh beers (cough cough... Dodie) not selling well as Society Exclusives. Seeing as gaining access to some awesome but hard to get beers (cough cough... MOCHA WEDNESDAY) and access to special events was my main reasons for joining RS, I'm pleased with what I got. But definitely having a consistent "RS exclusive" spot on the taplist and some exclusivity as far as allocations go would go miles in maintaining the value of being in RS... That and the 15% discount.

    2. The only thing about all of this that does irk me is the new policy about not holding carted purchases online for an hour. That was a great feature that has paid off for me in the past. I'm now concerned that I may miss out on a sale (cough cough... BT party tickets!) just because someone was quicker at typing in their credit card information faster than me. Holding the item in the cart at least gives the buyer time to properly enter their information and to make any corrections if necessary. It would be irritating if I had something carted, information entered, and seconds from clicking "place order" only to have the item swiped from underneath me. Even Clusterduck 2016 gave me that luxury.

TL;DR: I think we should cut them slack about SiTR, Hopefully more truly exclusive stuff is coming, but I don't like the whole "items are no longer held in your cart" business. Oh, and Terreux is awesome! Go check it out!

I would be renewing, but I'm actually upgrading (knock on wood!). Excited for 2017!

    Cheers!

New store doesn't recognize me as a Society member but I can see the Oktoberfest info, just not buy any tickets. But if I add a beer to the cart it does reflect the correct discount. Hooray for software updates!

On September 17, we're planning to showcase something that deviates from a few people's perceptions about us: beer brewed to style. But, in typical Bruery fashion, we're making a statement by showcasing over 20 different styles at a single event.
Join us on Saturday, September 17 at The Bruery from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for an Oktoberfest celebration at The Bruery. Tickets ($49.99) include commemorative glassware, authentic German-style fare, first access to limited edition merchandise, and unlimited samples of over 20 German beer styles, including:

    Fest Marzen
    Export Marzen
    Helles
    Classic German Pilsner
    Dry Hopped Pilsner
    Kellerpils
    Lichtenhainer
    Gose
    Berliner Weisse (with syrups!)
    Dunkel
    Schwarzbier
    Roggenbier
    Rauchbier
    Altbier
    Bock
    Kölsch
    Hefeweizen
    Dunkelweizen
    Weizenbock
    Doppelbock

hmm... that's interesting. i'm seeing the same problem. that might explain why i dont see the melange #15 and mash and vanilla as purchasable either. i'm a hoarder. anyone else that's seeing/not seeing these items, what level are you?

I'm so bummed about the about SITR w/pineapple and coconut. Its such a tasty beer. This was one reason for my renewal of my membership. Anyway... Does anyone have a clue as to what the BT variant will be. I forgot if it was a HS exclusive. Things have changed so much this year.

Pretty much the reason I renewed. Already wasn't planning on renewing for 2017, this is just the cherry on top.

I can honestly say that while SITR p+c wasn't the ONLY reason I renewed for this year, it was def the deciding factor... Not just the one bottle, but to be promised allocations. Now that that's out the window, I'm officially out.

It's very computationally expensive to do so compared to this new way. I'd guess they probably had no choice if they wanted their site to handle the load under any real stress.

Another issue noted, on the invoices now it doesn't show the name on the credit card used for purchase anymore. Probably not a big deal for most of you, but we use it to track whose orders are whose since we split between three people and we all want to pick up our beers at different times.
