    News:

"You guys like cans. A lot.

...we're pumped to announce we're changing the packaging format for all of our hop forward beers from 750ml / 25.4oz bottles into 16oz cans!

Batch sizes and case counts will go up as we get our legs under us.

Cans will be available at both breweries, but please note we won't be able to split the cases evenly on the same day as packaging for logistical reasons (so fewer cases available in Boston vs Canton on day of packaging). Thanks on behalf of the whole trillium team for your support to help us achieve this incredible milestone."

First two can releases in June (end of the month) were Congress Street and Melcher Street. Cans come in four packs but you can buy individual cans, if you like. Yes, the date is on the bottom.

    Finally:

Let's not overdo the price discussion this month. More than enough was written in July and people can browse that month's thread, if they want to read about it. Let's keep it about the beer again this month.

Thanks for asking! Treehouse opened at 11:15 so we got through the line and were out of there by 11:30 to head to Fenway. We got to the game in the first inning after hitting some traffic and left in the eighth inning to beat traffic and hit Trillium. Walked away with cases of DDH Melcher, Mettle and some fort point. Hit up the market and got some night shift and other goodies and then hit Bukowskis for a late dinner in back to the hotel room for a nice bottle share. Needless to say it was a very successful trip!

Extremely likely the Monkish collab will be dropping this month. Strong rumors from the staff saying it will be a DIPA

A lot of stuff added to the Up Next list. Excited for Little Rooster Pale Ale again. I love the Small Bird Series.

Nice, the low amount of options at Trillium was just timing with a big release before and kinda cleaned them out. Normally they might have between 9-12 offerings. Other then that TH opening early was a bonus for you! What time did you end up getting there?

Got there at 10:35 was probably about 100 in line. Line moved really quick and we were out of there. Is it common that Treehouse opens up that early? That was obviously a huge bonus for us to hit everything in one day! We may head over to Canton today on the way back to try Headroom on tap and pick up some scaled if they have it. We weren't too disappointed because Melcher Street and mettle are solid beers!

This batch of DDH Melcher, canned yesterday, might be my favorite IPA ever. Pretty much perfect.

Got a case of DDH Melcher yesterday and it is prefect. Got try headroom and stilling street as well. All of their hoppy beers are on point.

So glad that small bird series isn't ending (I thought I had read somewhere that it was a summer thing. Every one of them has been great!

Well, it's September so that means we've been slinging back Trillium's hoppy APA+IPAs for months straight (not to mention the two mean-ass stout collabs). What an incredible run of world class beers! And the cans...the cans! Totally spoiled. As Fall creeps nearer, can't help but imagine Trillium coming out with a red or brown or witbier that's mellow on the hops to not only scratch the seasonal itch but also see what their skilled hands can do. We're lucky enough to have a ton of awesome options from other breweries...but still. These guys make gold out of everything. In the absence of that I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for P&K, Day & Night, etc. on the "next up" list. Miss those beers!

Whoa. Must've missed this beer; I was an infrequent vistor in the pre-Canton days. I will be sitting on my hands until further notice. Thank you!

What is the availability/line situation like at fort point for cans and bottles.

My sister lives in the area and I have never tried any trillium beer, so I was gonna have her pick me some up. Don't want to send her on too much of a search/make it too difficult.

Also, out of what is usually available in bottles/cans there. What should I get? I'm very into big IPAs and stouts

Unless there is a special release—like this past weekend's Headroom release—she should be able to walk in and out in ~5 minutes. Based on what you like, if she were to go this week I'd have her grab: DDH Melcher (my favorite hoppy Trillium beer), Mettle DIPA, Vicinity DIPA (although if only getting on DIPA, I'd go Mettle), and Mosaic Fort Point

Haha, my sister goes for me quite often. She typically goes after work, so between 6 and 7pm on a weeknight and is usually in and out. I almost order more than she can carry on her own and the staff are great about helping her get it to the car.
