    Pretty stoked with the HS list for next year. I feel like the 1-week order window will force folks to buy first try later. To combat this, we'll need to make sure people get to SMM and post reasonable reviews as often as possible.

    I dig the glassware (anything but hoodies haha) and could use a solid wax defeating opener.

    alright @Nick_Suhr, now I think we are hitting the low 7 out of 10 on the outrage scale if you wanna swoop in and do some defending...

    A NOTE ABOUT SALES IN 2017

    Our sales cycle is evolving with our platform and production in 2017. Traditional allocations will be conducted over one week periods, typically beginning on the first Monday of the month (Society Member Monday) and continuing until end-of-day Sunday. For example, February 2017 allocations are expected to begin on Monday, February 6 and conclude at midnight on Sunday, February 12.

    We expect to implement functionality that will allow you to get additional bottles following an allocation period - before bottles become available to others to purchase (that is, if any bottles remain). Some beers will be more limited and/or exclusive in nature, such as beers included with your 2017 Society membership. Other beers may be “exclusive” to the extent that no quantities remain following a Society allocation. The amount we produce of each brand will greatly impact which beers may be available to others following their Society release. Your best bet for acquiring the beers you want - always at a discount - is early in your allocation period.

    Beers will be ready for pickup or delivery one week following their release (typically, the Monday following Society Member Monday). As in recent past, beers will be available to sample at The Bruery Tasting Room on Society Member Monday (which is one week before these beers are planned to be ready for pickup / delivery.)

    I do agree. No growler this year? They charged $40 last year for the extra one (iirc). Seems like a big miss. I was looking forward to the HS growler.

    You may be cool with this but I don't want to rely on someone else taste buds to see if I want any particular beer. One week window makes it hard to get to the tasting room.

    I can see that angle as well but I'd guess a majority of folks don't go to the tasting room every allocation period. At best I go once a month to pick up orders, usually every other and I am only 30-40 minutes out. A well written description/review from someone on BA that has been around for awhile goes a long way in my purchasing decision. That said, I thought GHC was great and it got shit on by mostreviewers so it is all subjective.

    Another year of RS for me. No Hoarder's invite.... I'll live because I get BT Port now!

    One week is just to short. That could be right in the middle of pay periods and like many others have said, you may not be able to try before you buy. I understand what they are trying to do but I feel like 2 weeks is a nice compromise. It still gives them plenty of time for second chance sales and tightens up the first release period.

    In Rare Barrel also and I find that I have missed several releases this year due to the 1 week window. For sure they email me, for sure I read it, but it never clicks for me to pick up extra bottles or pre-releases because I don't do it 'right then'.

    It seemed like only a matter of time before that had to be dropped... Based on posts ITT, Hoarders just don't buy that much beer it seems. If they don't buy out an "exclusive beer" The Bruery has to get rid of it somehow. I imagine that if 2017 plays out such that no beers stay HS exclusive, many people will drop memberships going into '18. People put less value on being able to buy like 12 Mocha Wednesdays than they do having access to stuff lower tiers can't get.

    Agreed, but at the same time at some point you have to start producing at a level that is acceptable for what you actually sale vs what you would like to sale. That's one of the bigger perks and if you take it away, you might as well just get rid of hoarders.

    The lack of an included grower may be a huge issue for myself and others, depending on what they allow us to do with the '16 RS/HS growlers. If we can still use those for society fills, okay fine, sucks for new members who have to buy one, but whatever. If next year's society fills can only be done in a '17 RS/HS growler, then I think I'd just not re-up. I'd like to hear @BruerJoel chime in on this.

    Think it is universally regarded as one of the better beers either Bruery has put out.

    As far as the one week allocation period conflicting with my paycheck. I use my credit card for Bruery purchases anyways. That gives me a aluminum of 21 days to pay my credit card bill, and a maximum of 51 days to pay my credit card, depending on what day I make my purchase in relation to my credit card cycle. 1-3 paychecks in that time. But i know my cycle closes on the 10th, so Ill have at least 21 days to pay that off.

    I pulled the trigger and joined HS. I was clearly going to do that, and I wanted to do it on Day 1. I'm looking forward to next year (and the balance of this year for that matter).

    RS = More inviting
    HS = Less inviting
