So what are odds that peeps will be lined up prior to 11am opening? I will say there will be a line but it will not be significant.

I was wondering that, too, especially since they mentioned about having stuff for the early risers. I suppose if I had nothing else going on, I would be willing to get there 15 minutes or so before opening just to see what the fuss is all about and maybe get some of those crack fries for a year (not that I need them, but it'd be kinda cool to have that option of getting them pretty much whenever I wanted).

I'd try the Odd Side Hazel's Nuts if I went as I haven't seen that locally before. Hope they have some bang up whales in bottles for opening day....

Considering people camped overnight for the A2 opening and i also read the first person was in line at 5:30AM for the Detroit opening, id bet there are quite a few people lined up. maybe nothing crazy but in the multiple dozens id guess at least an hour or so before.

In Lincoln Park if people are lined up at 5:30am it's probably because the 4am bars closed and they didn't want to go home or couldn't physically make it.

I can just see them stumbling down from Ravens now...standing in a line and not knowing what its for.

Why does the picture of the interior posted on their web-site look like it was copied from a 1970s Vegas casino???

Hell, yeah, IMO. Good food, decent outdoor area, good beer list (check 'em out on Beermenus).

How many Hopcat's have gone under? I give this place two years (based on that locale being a deadspot) and one of those is with a massive interior renovation after a year. That 70's feel doesn't look welcoming, inviting or comfortable in those photos (I assume they have the lights on and hopefully it will be a lot darker in there). I'll like my beer bars and breweries subdued, not bright red. I hope they at least have the paintings on the ceilings to bring a sense of whimsy.

Based on their documented expansion, the business model appears to be sound. I would expect longer-term success here. If you want subdued and a bit more dingy you could head to Delilah's??:grinning::stuck_out_tongue:

I am not aware of any that have gone under. To each their own, but im kinda digging the 70s lounge vibe w the wild looking carpet.
