What happened to their farmhouses? I feel like we haven't seen them in ages...we got one batch of sunshower this summer, but we haven't seen their flagship for so long. It was the first beer I ever had from them and I fucking miss it. I also wish we got another run of the dry hop variants of sunshower. The Citra was sunshine in a bottle.

I wonder if its a logistics problem and they don't want to can it?

Cool. Thanks for letting me know! Closed Labor Day and open at 11 am with new hours, at both locations, starting Tuesday, September 6th. I'll have the first post edited next week.

Trillium Brown Ale? That makes as much sense as selling coal to Newcastle...

....and, she was there tonight around 6pm and was in and out in under 5 minutes with a case of DDH Melcher and a case of Mettle...

I'd be hoping for an Octoberfest but it doesn't seem like Trillium's thing. I think they could nail it - Berkshire Brewing Company's Octoberfest from a couple years ago was my fav of all time. Malty with a great Belgiany yeast thing going on...will be checking it out this year again. But think Trillium could do the same if not better - with haze too, of course...!

I think they've been nailing the IPAs and hoppy beers so have focused on that - but I'd gladly take another Sunshower, and a return of the Dry Stack series.

Serious question... What makes you think they could nail it?

It would have been cool to see more Sunshower this summer, especially the differently dry hopped variants from last summer. I guess demand dictated otherwise.

There's just not as much a market for saisons as IPAs. That's fine with me though. I only buy hoppy beers from Trillium bc honestly I don't think their other stuff is better than say the Founders beers I can get 100 yards from my house.

(That's not really a knock, it's just that it's really hard to beat FBS or Founders Imperial Stout for $3 a bottle). Even the soaks... Cascade sits on local shelves so I don't bother with those)

The saisons and a lot of the darker stuff doesn't bring the masses. No complaints from me if they are available for a bit longer then some hoppy options.

Because they "nail" pretty much every different style they attempt?

I wish they had saisons more often too, but I can't complain about the hoppy stuff since that is what I buy 95% of the time

Have they ever done a lager before?

I'm 99% sure they have not, at least not that I can remember.

Yes, this is correct - most of their beers regardless of style are way above average. So if they brewed an Octoberfest, or for that matter, any other type of lager - the likelihood that they'd do a great job with it is pretty high. Whether or not it would be worth the inevitable Trillium pricing differential is another matter entirely (something I have been known to be overly critical of in previous posts).

If you're going to Canton, and you missed out on Hundred Thousand Trillion- check out Swipe Ripe at Castle Island. Drinking very similar to me, except it's 9% and doesn't have mango (just apricot)

Yep, spot on. For the amount of praise and business @Sweatshirt gives Trillium, it's funny that he'd ask this question given its seemingly an attempt to put you down for supposing Tril would knock a "new-to-them" style out of the park.
