This is pretty much accurate. I think with the exclusives they could simply ask a few Hoarder's/Reserves in advance how many of a given bottle they would likely buy or expect others in the same Society would buy based on a general description and not be too far off the mark using that as an estimate for the group. I think we all knew the BT Reserve would get bought up, as have pretty much any of the BT variants when they are first released. As long as they don't repeat the same variants every year, they will move!

For some reason Bruery has decided to make whatever they feel like instead of making what people actually want. If Bruery was pumping out BT variants like MT does Monsters Park I wouldn't question my membership for a second. Instead we get blends with old ales.

I'd like to see them take the shit beer farther with variants and barrel treatments.

Also since we're throwing stuff out there, I'd love smaller bottle formats.

Same reason for both, I don't get many times to crack a 750ml of 20% beer. So what I have is building up, therefor I don't have the need for more.

Thanks for the full description! I searched my email for wiki wiki tart but it only came up with an email saying it was on the horizon so not sure where this description came from! I wonder what these spices are though...

I've been saying it for years, fill those fancy 12oz bottles that Russian river uses with chocolate rain and bt, they will sell them all.

I'll be quick on how to recover the crowd, bottle cherry chocolate rain, 1 per hs and all is well.

wiki wiki comes out to $9.17 a bottle after society discount. at that price, its a no brainer to get a bottle, but ill wait to hear reviews before getting more.

The trick is that you can click on the beer label and then it will take you to the product page with the full description.

Took me a second to figure that out.

Well....... Comparable for sure. Enjoyed a Poterie tonight. But compared to FO or MT BAMP w/vanilla I think they have nothing close.

    Do they?

Don't get me wrong. I love the stouts and the old ales, but they really don't experiment too much with their BBA Stouts with any frequency (that we can buy in bottles).

OK I get it now ... if you are under your allocations page there is no way to get info on the beer. But if you go to the BEER page you can click on the label and get information. Need to continue learning this new site...

I remember reading quite a few pages back that someone went to the BT blending and they were told to not make a vanilla & coconut blend because they (the Bruery) knew it tasted good. Well...... ???

I don't like that the website doesn't pre-save multiple billing addresses or let's you see what you have pending pick up like the old site

Indeed! Why does using white as an adjective have to be offensive? It's just beer we're talking about.

Oh, and White Chocolate, White Oak, White Mocha.

I'm in Hoarder's Society, but I have not re-upped my membership to next year. I'm on the fence. After going it alone, for all these years, it's getting expensive and I'm buying less. So, I'm looking for a Southern California local with a good trading rep who wants to split my membership this year. I think the card can have your name on it since they've always asked what name I wanted on the card. Anyway, if interested, I'd need you to be responsible for getting my bottles shipped out to me (I'd be covering all costs of course). My goal is to keep it under 12 bottles a month, so it wouldn't be too big of a burden. lol I'm in San Antonio, Texas, so I'd be happy to mule Jester King/Freetail and other Texas brews when possible.

Hit me up if interested. I'm really only looking to split with someone who lives close to the Bruery has easy access and can pick up/ship my bottles on at least an every month or every other month basis. I'll also give you access to any of the remaining allocations from this year I don't buy.

That's a shitload of steps backwards in the near future then.

    1. No pending shipping ledger
    2. Items not held in the cart so good luck on archive sales. If you thought people were pissed before for overselling on certain bottles just wait...
    3. Next year will be one week of allocations instead of the threeish weeks prior. My truck payment and rent are both due at the beginning of the month and a few of my other bills are front loaded. My paycheck at the middle of the month goes toward the booze budget so I guess I get to start raking in some more cash back on my credit card? This also doesn't give the out of state people much of a chance to wait for feedback before buying bottles. I don't understand why they decided to do it this way and I'd honestly like an explanation for the shift. I guess they also decided against letting us split the cost of a renewal between months. 695 is a decent chunk of change to drop at once. Then again, they also decided against letting people roll back to Reserve...
    4. Lack of saving shipping addresses.

Overall this is the most disappointing news from The Bruery in a long while. As much as I love the beers I could also start throwing that same amount of money at my education bills, and the more I think about it the less sense continuing my membership makes given the boatload of beer I currently have on hand.

As an IT guy myself, it sucks that the SSL and TLS PCI compliance has negatively impacted the features of the Bruery online store. The old site was far more friendly and robust from a consumer perspective, anyway.

I understand the reasons for the switch. It's too bad that the previous platform couldn't have just been updated/upgraded or modified to no longer support those protocols and we continue merrily on our way.

Having had to harden several webservers (Windows/Linux) due to SSL 3.0 (Poodle) and TLS 1.0 PCI compliance issues, its unfortunate that the Bruery didn't have the same control (it appears) over the platform. Hope the new provider can bake in some of the functionality that was great before the switch!!

On a positive note.. the beer is still amazing as always!
