    I'll send out a group pm Wed for all those who have signed up. I imagine spreads will show up tomorrow or Tues on Yahoo but you can always use other sites to get an idea of what the spread will be. Remember they can change a bit throughout the week and don't always match up with professional sites but are close. There are also 2 Friday games to pick, I'll send out a reminder.

    We always have room for more, right now we have a total of 18 people which means 15 boxes will be sent out. Finally numbers will be determined Friday or Sat. Right now it would probably be something like 7, 5 and 3 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

    Man these are tough the first week. I've listened to my fair share of college football radio and conference previews but they haven't covered Louisiana Tech & North Texas that much.

    God damn it, I've already changed my picks about 10 times. I don't know why I do this to myself every year. I've always said one week I'll flip a coin for every game, that may be next week.

    I've done the same with a few games already. Too many unknowns at the beginning of the season. Last season was so frustrating I started asking my wife for picks...about the same as a coin flip. Good luck to all!

    Glad to hear I'm not the only one having a hard time already. I've been giving mascots to my kids and letting them pick. Need a week or two to establish a true base for some of these teams.

    Very nice! I believe that would be a first. IIRC the closest I've ever seen is 2-3 from being perfect.

    Off to a great start with Appalachian State currently beating Tenn but there's still a long way to go and that extra point miss may hurt.

    @johnyb Getting nervous on the eve of our annual rivalry? Gonna have a hard time sleeping tonight? Not me.

    Last year was my worst year ever, I don't plan on repeating. I got too desperate too early. As John said "remember gentlemen, it's a marathon not a sprint" or some stupid shit like that :stuck_out_tongue:

    I predict that I'm gonna be a big deal in this league (gulps down the sixth DIPA of the afternoon while day-dreaming of being on the top of a human cheerleader tower in the pouring rain...and the rain is beer…great beer…white blouses everywhere…I'm spinning…weeeeeee!)

    I'll do a mini BIF as well (as long as it's okay having two go at once). First person to pick an upset in a game with a spread of 14 points or more (has to be an actual line, but can be at any time during the week) will get a box of Springfield, IL locals. May not be earth-shattering, but I can almost guarantee they'll be new ticks!

    Make sure you let me know if you hit one of these, because it might be tough to completely monitor.

    Yup, I set it for 5 mins before kick off. Normally the kick off times on yahoo are accurate but I can't remember if we are allowed to pick later than the posted yahoo time if the game is delayed (rare occasion) but better be safe than sorry.

    I'm officially breaking down. Went to the gym, told myself I'd "be good" today and not drink beer...headed to the bar in about 30 mins for OU/Houston. First Saturday of college football and too many good games to pass up drinking. Can't wait to feel good today but like shit tomorrow.
