New month, new monthly Grimm thread.

For info directly from their website
    http://grimmales.com/

Their new online shop is open. Check out their gorgeous glassware and shirts.

Grimm beers are usually in high demand (especially the cans). Cans have been limited to low counts per person. Grimm Artisanal Ales supply their beers at low prices (and have NOT raised their prices recently) to the distributor, who supply the retail shops, and therefore are not responsible for the final price you may encounter. They try to support the "Mom and Pop" shops that sell their beer. Hopefully, we should all support these small shops.

The latest fitness craze has been the checking of this thread and Beermenus for their cans/bottles and running around town trying to get them before inventory is sold out. Needed exercise for some of our fellow beer enthusiasts. :grinning: If you miss out, you can usually find their beer on tap.

Post away and yes, Joe and Lauren (the Grimm's) monitor this thread and are great about responding to your questions and comments. Especially, if you tag them @Grimm_Artisanal_Ales. Great people, great couple, great brewers.

The beautiful Grimm artwork on their labels is designed by Lauren, about 50% from scratch and the rest using Gretta Johnson's (their longtime friend) artwork.

Check out http://grettajohnson.com/ for more about this talented artist.

    Can advice:

Keep cold! Drink Now! Roll can to suspend hop particles.

I probably missed this in one of the prior threads, but will the Rebuses ever be bottled?

The Rebus series is something we're doing at Flagship on Staten Island. They do have a bottling line but, understandably, they don't want to put live mixed cultures through it. We don't have any immediate plans to bottle any of the Rebuses, but we hope to focus intensively on bottled mixed culture beers in a dreamy future when we have our own facility.

How is this batch of afterimage? For the first time in about 6 months I was able to score 3 cans with relative ease.

I guess this doesn't apply to you, but I would say on draft right now it's definitely tasting too young. I had some yesterday and you could tell it hadn't come together yet, though it was still really good.

The can hasn't quite come together as a juice bomb the way these beers usually do. There's still a little bit of abrasiveness from the bittering that generally seems to smooth out and give way to straight juice homie.

In cans you are probably out of luck, but try Whole Foods in Williamsburg

BUT.. you can probably snag a growler at Milk and Hops in Chelsea or a pint at One Mile House.
