Will Dan's Pink Shirt show up in IL? Not some rando's pink shirt, but the beer.

 

Picked up a load of Pink Skirt yesterday in Ann Arbor. She's (he's?) still biting and lingering long time! Love that grapefruit-like, hoppy zest.

 

I heard maybe draft only but I have my fingers crossed.

 

Hmm, this is the first I noticed that Lil Wheezy is off the list. Bummer, that is a top 5 Short's beer for me. Although I'm not going to complain with seeing as Dan's Pink Skirt, Noble Chaos, and PGGB have all been added.

 

My local is saying they're getting it tomorrow. Hope we dont have the same local.

Dan's is at the shop I like to hit in Livonia. Picked up a couple bottles for now, since this trip was for some Bucktricutioner. I almost fainted (in a good way) when I saw the price. Usually a brew like Dan's (limited release, near 7% ABV) goes for $2.35 to $2.75 a bottle at this place. It was only $2.00! If PGGB is going to be around this price I'm gonna have to kiss my liver goodbye.

 

Speaking of Bucktricutioner, I'd love to know where some of the names and artwork ideas mean/come from. Some are obvious, some are covered in the podcast, some in the website,but if there were a Short's Brew Name and Label Bible I'd pick one up. Something with one or two labels per page and quotes from the brewers and artists how each one came about. Put it next to the prints at the Shortsmart.

 

Does anyone know if Pink Skirt will be hitting the Toledo area? I'll be up there next weekend. If not, I may have to make a special trip to Michigan for some.

When did Dan's pink skirt turn into a 7.8% beer? I recalled it being closer to 6...

Same thing with spruce pils this year, a few of those knocked me on my ass!

 

If any Short's lovin BAs are in the Farmington area, there's a cheese and beer (and cider) pairing going on till 4 at the Cheese Lady in downtown. Great cheeses and ales to be had. While not part of the tasting, get a sample of the potato chip goat gouda or the Porter at the counter, they're pretty good.


Beers are Local's, Nicie, Autumn, Noble, Space Rock, and Immortal Jelly cider.

Also, there's swag to be had, coasters and stickers.

And I'm embarrassed to say, but I didn't catch the reps name but she was awesome! @HopHeadHerman @ScottatShorts if you could pass along my compliments I'd be grateful.
