Here’s your first look at another new “Biscotti” beer coming from Evil Twin. This is Imperial Biscotti Bourbon Maple Syrup Barrel-Aged and it is an imperial porter brewed in collaboration with Blis Gourmet. This beer is aged in Bourbon-flavored maple syrup barrels, the beer will hit 11.5%-AbV and you;re looking at the 22oz bottle (packaged at Westbrook). We also haveEven More Jesus Bourbon Maple Syrup Barrel-Agedalso a collaboration with Blis Gourmet--imperial stout aged in Bourbon-flavored maple syrup barrels (12%-AbV, 22oz bottles).

Tenemu provides a bit more info, but not much

There is a new variant of Evil Twin Brewing’s Even More Jesus on the way that promises to be sweeter than anything that has come before.

The beer is Even More Jesus Bourbon Maple Syrup Barrel Aged, a 12 percent ABV imperial stout aged in BLiS Gourmet bourbon-flavored maple syrup barrels. The original version of the imperial stout was first released by the Brooklyn, N.Y.-based company in 2012.

This is not the first time that Evil Twin has aged one of its beers in Blis barrels, after it announced that Michigan Maple Jesus would be released sometime this summer and it has also teased a version of its Imperial Biscotti Break that uses the barrels as well.

According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Even More Jesus Bourbon Maple Syrup Barrel Aged will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles at Mount Pleasant, S.C.-based Westbrook Brewing Co. An email sent to the company for additional information was not immediately returned.

BLiS was the company that Brew Dogs visited during an episode I saw. I sure would like to grab a bottle of each, but Lord knows this will sell out immediately.

    Interesting how that article states....

"This is not the first time that Evil Twin has aged one of its beers in Blis barrels, after it announced that Michigan Maple Jesus would be released sometime this summer and it has also teased a version of its Imperial Biscotti Break that uses the barrels as well"

.....when summer has now officially passed and we still haven't seen MMJ. And that article is fairly recent.

What is the difference between this and Michigan Maple Jesus? They just seem like different titles for the same thing. Is this one a Double Barrel variant? It's probably just my liquor store combining labels, but it says Even More Dbl Brl Maple.

They're only separated by a few months. Some places around here still have the Michigan Maple Jesus. Is it just Michigan Maple Jesus in a bomber? Is it a title change to make it more alluring with the words Bourbon and Maple combined in it?

It looks like the difference is that Michigan Maple Jesus was produced at Dark Horse in Michigan, while Maple Barrel EMJ was produced at Westbrook in South Carolina.

Maple biscotti was painful to buy for $25, and very little redemption was had drinking it.
