They probably will be getting the same thing that the other states are getting. You know when ppl were flipping their shit seeing that "zomg hammerhead speedway is seeing distribution, yaayayayayayayaya" when it was really just the kegs will be on draft.

    REFORGED XXI
Bourbon, Red Wine, & Rum Barrel-Aged Ale

Each year, we celebrate another year in the brewing business by rolling out our stock of barrels and blending different varieties of our oak-aged beers into a fine, one-time only blend for toasting with the valued craft enthusiasts who have helped us get this far. This year, we are releasing a blend composed of three beers previously unseen outside of our cellar. The first is a rum barrel-aged version of our award-winning Old Numbskull barleywine that we have affectionately nicknamed “Old Rumskull.” The woody spice from the rum barrels is balanced by the vanilla character extracted from an English-style Imperial Porter that has been aged in bourbon whiskey barrels. Cutting the sweetness of the two preceding beers are tannins imparted from a red wine barrel-aged version of our Belgian-style Quad. On their own, these beers are exquisite, but when assembled together, they form something entirely unique and delightfully enticing.

    BARREL-AGED NOBLE EMPIRE
    Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial English-style Porter

In our 20th year, we had the good fortune to grow, expand, and relocate to our new home on what was originally named Empire Street. The city soon recognized us by renaming that street to AleSmith Court, a rare honor. Now at our larger facility, we continue to explore our passion for complex beers and expand our barrel-aging program. We have thus created Nobel Empire, a brawny, complex, imperial version of a traditional English-style porter as a tribute to craftsmanship of the highest quality. Rich with chocolaty flavors derived from a variety of specialty malts, this beer has patiently found the delicate balance between sweet notes of vanilla and toast from the bourbon barrels. Enjoy this tribute to the former Empire Street and its noble evolution for the sake of craft beer. Cheers!

    1) Starting 11AM PST on Monday, September 26, you will be able to purchase up to four (4) bottles of Reforged XXI ($30), and up to four (4)bottles of Barrel-Aged Noble Empire ($30) via Eventbrite (prices exclude tax, CRV, and service fee)[IMG]

    2) Bottles can be picked up starting 11AM on Saturday, October 1 during our Release Party at the AleSmith Tasting Room (9990 AleSmith Court, San Diego, CA). Bottles can be retrieved during tasting room hours from October 1 through November 13, 2016. NOTE: Any bottles not retrieved by SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 13 will be surrendered back to the brewery (no exceptions).

I haven't had either of those, but they sound tasty.

I'm stopping by today to pickup my bottles, and will check out the anvil.

Try the bartender's blend inside of anvil. Then try it again but ask for a bit of bba nut brown to be added. It was delicious.

Is Noble Empire a new beer or has it been done before?

New beer in name but it sounds quite similar to BBA Decadence 2007. If it is in fact similar (or the same recipe), I'll be very pleased, that was a delicious beer.

By the way I tried Anvil & Stave last weekend for the first time and had an awesome time. The bartenders were super friendly, the vibe was very relaxed (compared to the crowded tasting room on the other side of the wall) and the selection was great. Will be returning very soon.

That was my first thought, too. I've been hoping they would re-brew that beer forever.

Yeah, actually I haven't seen the new one posted since Rivet was done a week ago. Interesting. Ah well, check the little picture in the gift shop. Since they are doing oktoberfest this weekend it will likely be busy and require you to hit up the gift shop and get a timed entry ticket anyways.

Also they have some nice steins and their oktoberfest was drinking mighty fine last night.

Anyone know how the BA Porter would be different from BA Imperial Stout?

Rip Current bottle release on BPT might not have worked, but the AleSmith one on Eventbrite was easy.

Any bottles from the past few releases hanging out at the brewery still?

    Yes, definitely.

When I was there two weeks ago, they had all of the last few releases. Picked up a BASS!

SDReaper you'd probably know this better than anyone else and I didn't think to ask when I was there, but is the bottle list in Anvil & Stave for on-site consumption only? There are plenty more BA bottles for sale there than there are in the gift shop/bottle pickup counter.

No sir. It is a to-go list. I've actually never seen anyone buy and have the bottle opened there onsite.
