I just looked under my Green Diamond's can and saw that it said congrats Sam. Who's Sam and what are we congratulating?

In baby related news, it was hilarious yesterday watching all the drunk dudes in line yesterday congratulating Tina from Gaddy Lane on their new upcoming "Menu Item."

Sorry, I don't think that would change anything. It does not taste like a Pale Ale to me at all, it is not remotely like Boat Beer which is a fantastic session. There is a reason BBS stays around on release days. Might be good for the style, but most folks who frequent OH will pass on it if any other options are available. Boat is WAY better IMO, but again it is not the same style so not a fair comparison.

@rojapa I am not sure how you are not getting Nelson in that one, I get Motueka only in the finish, up front is all Nelson and I love it.

This was low-key the best release in a while. Nelson Motueka is the best Nelson DIPA I've had in a while, SP+J17 is Grimm weird hops meets OH body, Diamonds is always a favorite, and DMD is super dialed in. Haven't cracked a Stuntz yet but it's always good. I strolled in at 445 and got anything I wanted! Awesome.

Anybody have confirmation if southern passion and/or Nelson+Mo are gonna make it to kegs? I'd assume so, but I'll like a couple growlers of that southern. A 4 pack of that ain't gonna cut it.

It was my third IPA of the night (Premiere>Southern Passion>Nelson+Motueka), so it is possible my palate was a bit fatigued at that point but it just seemed a bit muted to me. It's also possible that I was just so impressed with Southern Passion that everything from that point on just kinda fell flat. Still tasted great though!

So are people pretty certain that they'll be releasing Mylar Bags in 2 weeks? Do folks anticipate that release selling out a lot faster than DMD this weekend?

    It's been a while...

    1. Stuntz is good but not worth the $$$ which is exactly why there was so much still left this weekend.
    2. I had Mylar Bags at Earl's Beer and Cheese this week and it's awesome, I would love to see it get canned.
    3. What are people's thoughts on the SPJ17 hop combo? Overall I'm a fan after can number 1, it's super juicy and getting some of the bright tangerine flavors you get from Amarillo hops maybe?

SPJ17 was good, but Nelson Motueka is better.

I haven't gotten there yet. I had the same expectations for NeMo as I did for MoGa.

SPJ17 was just exciting to try a great beer with two hops I wasn't familiar with.

I agree with another poster. It was really good, but I liked the Nelson/Motueka better.

If Boogie Board Stuntz was the same price as Boat I think it'll sell faster.

Wow, is there really still Southern Passion left? Can someone confirm this before I show up tomorrow at 4:45 to buy a 4pack . . .

Crazy if so, in some other releases it would be the star

Good thing you didn't say it I guess, given how long cans lasted. Too bad I was out of town all weekend because this sounds like it was the easiest release yet.
