I don't know if this thread belongs here or where, but Ohioans keep your eyes peeled for 120 minute! Apparently Ohio just got around 1,000 cases, next to Kentucky's measly 100 cases. Ever since Ohio passed their bill allowing a 21% abv cap instead of 12%, new high gravity brews are starting to pop up. Never thought I'd see the day that I leave a store in Ohio with 120 minute, but I just did Anyways, figured I'd give you all a heads up about it.
Wow a 1000 cases but few places are doing more than 2 bottle limits with some stores only getting 1 or two cases interesting still love dogfish for showing ohio so much love
Ha, yea I've had all their high gravity offerings (except for WWS) and they have a 'cough syrup' quality to them. It seems to mellow with some age though. Olde school is by far their best of the 'danger cap' bottles IMO
Like boozy raspberry syrup! But seriously, I went into that one expecting more 'port wine' than beer, and I actually enjoyed it. I think if people are expecting this one to taste like a beer, then they will probably be disappointed.
I had a 3 year old Fort back in 2014; it was amazing. Fort fresh last year...not so much. I'll be sitting on my remaining bottles for awhile.
Most stores in Cincy were selling 4 packs and individual bottles. I picked up 2. One to drink fresh and the other to drink aged.
As a former Buckeye, I'll just say "Atta' Boy, Sam." Ohio deserves this preferential attention; they've been waiting a long time for this.
