Zwanze 2016 in brussels

They will be open. I emailed the brewery and got this back:

Dear Sir,

We thank you for your message.
The brewery will be open on Saturday 01/10/2016, as usual, from 10.00 to 17.00. But the Zwnaze will not be to taste that day at the brewery. It will only be possible from the next Monday (03/10).

 

Do you know how quickly they sell out? I won't be in Brussels until the 29th of September. I guess if Fontainas sells out I could still, hopefully, get into St. Gilles.

 

Thanks, all, for the information on this year's event. I will be in Brussels from 9/28 - 10/2--even extended my vacation by a day just to attend my first Zwanze Day. Looking forward to it

 

Sounds like I'll definitely be heading to Brussels for Zwanze Day from Oktoberfest in Munich. I'll try to bring some American beers (hops, hops and more hops) to share.

 

The Moeder Lambic Facebook post says that the tickets are first come, first serve, and that "when they're gone, they're gone".

 

Tickets did NOT go on sale today. Moeder did post something, but if you read it it says they are on sale starting on the 17th.

 

Oh right. But that's only a few days away, and still two weeks before the actual event. My problem stands.

 

Any on-the-ground intel on tickets? I long ago wrote off the chances of going but have some people trying to rally. Seen nothing posted addressing either availability or a sellout.

 

Fontainas sold out on Wednesday; Saint-Gilles had "a few" tickets left on Thursday when I bought mine.
