I feel like they said asap if only because the beer has already been canned at least a week by the time it hits shelves.

 

Fwiw, I drank an Afterimage last night and it was absolutely superb. Probably at its peak right now.

This month's can releases:
Lambo was canned today and is being kegged tomorrow; we anticipate it will hit shelves early next week. Pulse Wave and Splish are to be canned Friday and Tuesday and we think they'll ship together, hitting shelves the following week.

When to drink the cans:
when you like them best. i prefer them 3 weeks and under. Here's how i think they evolve:


The more dry hopping, the more egregious the oxidation becomes... for example dreamweapon had less dry hopping so it may not have had as much explosive hop character, but i could actually enjoy an 8 week old dreamweapon more than an 8 week old afterimage.

Cans usually hit shelves at the 1 week old mark, so customers don't really get a chance to drink them in the initial few "green" days

 

I could also add a declining "bitter" line but i didn't want it too cluttered

 

I would buy a T-Shirt with this graph on it.

 

A future can Art design for an IPA to come....

 

I was skeptical, but three cans in one month makes me very happy!

They had 40 cases of Catch Wave but I doubt that will happen again haha.

Milk and Hops' prices are pretty good. They want $12.99 a bottle.

 

FWIW, I bought a bottle there yesterday and it rang up as 11.99 (despite being listed as 12.99 on beermenus). It looked like they got at least 4 cases of it, which seemed like a ton. And I agree, Milk and Hops usually has pretty good prices - definitely on the lower end for independent bottle shops.

 

It makes me happy to see grimm bottles last a couple days. I popped into Top Hops last night while in the neighborhood and was surprised that they had bottles of both Kinetic Cloud and Present Perfect (and a bottle of drie fonteinen oude geuze.)

With all of the recent can release around the city, I wonder if Grimm cans will less sought-after this time around. I love lambo and the can art so I'd like to score a 4-pack this time around.

 

Put me in the skip boat for this one also. In a two week period from this past Saturday to next Saturday there will have been 16 cans released in NYC! Crazy and awesome, compared to where NYC started just a couple years ago.
