A little DAB will do ya- not too pricey and a great crossover beer. That's what I usually serve.

Don't know where you are in New York, but I'm gonna suggest Von Trapp Vienna and/or Dunkel if they are available by you.

Get a Boston Lager keg. Not sure if Sam Adams does 1/4bbl of that one but it would be ideal. People will buy into drinking from a keg and it's a beer that won't shock the macro drinkers.

Prior to the acquisition, I would have proudly offered Vienna Lager from Devil's Backbone, but post transfer, I'd likely go with another few local offerings - New Beginnings Kolsch from Midnight Brewing and Legend's Brown Ale, which has a lot of local fans that don't drink any other craft beer at all. Beyond that, I'd like to mix in some Pilsner Urquell, (which in my estimation would captivate the Heineken crowd) and venerable Boston Lager (to replace the DBB hole in my lineup)

My newly developed personal embargo on BMC (namely ABInBev) makes it very difficult for me to come up specifically with a macro to please folks that just want an AAL. If freshness weren't a possible issue, and I could get a case for fairly cheap, I'd go with Tusker any day of the week to fill that void before ABInBev buys them too (sights set on Africa next I read somewhere...) Maybe Molson Canadian? Did they entirely sell out to SAB-MillerCoors? I had thought they retained majority in a portion of their business, anyone know? @jesskidden

No such thing, now or in the past, as "SAB-MillerCoors". SABMiller and Molson Coors had merged their US divisions, Miller and Coors, into one joint venture but with the ABI-SABMiller deal to meet the US DoJ's anti-trust concerns, Molson Coors has agreed to buy SABMiller's portion of MillerCoors.
For all intends, SABMiller was split apart before it will be taken over by ABI, with all the original Miller portion - brands and breweries - purchased by Molson Coors. Even the SAB import brands will continue to be imported into the US by MillerCoors.

Last I looked, Molson Canadian is one of the last Molson brands exported to the US from Canada (no doubt thanks to that brand name ). Most of the other Molson-branded beers sold here are brewed at MillerCoors facilities in the US, as illustrated by this snip from a Molson Golden label:

It's pretty amazing about Molson's lost American market - back at the beginning of "craft" era, the Molson beers (Canadian, Export Ale and Golden Ale at the time) were the #2 imports in the US, behind only Heineken.

I have to be careful with anything Boston in this household, but Brooklyn's Brooklyn Lager may work. Thanks.

Anchor California Lager will work also. I had a keg at a BBQ last year and even converted 2 BMC drinkers who have made it their go to beer.

I would not hesitate to bring out the big guns! They are a captive audience. What are you serving? You can bet that maltier styles will go over well and you can really enjoy seasonal stuff in a lovely variety, fall is festive for beer. Lagers.
