Sierra Nevada BA Narwhal 3-Pack

    Saw a post on FB with the latest Trip in the Woods release...a 3 pack of BA Narwhal, one rum, one red wine, and the usual bourbon. Considering how awesome the bbl version is, I'm crazy excited for this. The post I saw it on said distro in NC and CA, so I wanted to see if anyone had seen this in distro in NC yet, and if so where. Cheers, and welcome to stout season!

    What post? Where did you see it? I got the 3 pack at Mills River. And its always stout season!

    Sierra Nevada posted a pic of the 3 pack on their FaceBook page...and yes, it is ALWAYS stout season. The day isn't really complete without something barrel aged.

    The facebook post is hilarious. They clearly listed the distro areas and people are still asking if it's available in every other State in the country. Idiots.

    This sucks. I was just in AVL and almost stopped at the Mills River location. Hopefully the Triangle sees a bit of this. I'd love to try the rum.

    Seriously! The rum has gotten some awesome reviews, but surprisingly, looks like the wine BA one is getting the most love. Can't wait for them.

    IMO, stouts are made to be put in red wine barrels. The ones I've had of that variety have been absolutely incredible.

    Agree @RDMII , have only had a couple RIS's aged in red wine barrels, but they have both been pretty amazing.

    Still haven't seen any bottle shops post anything yet. I'm starting to wonder exactly what "distribution" meant for them with those. Worst case, will make the trip and grab a 3-pack at the brewery while I'm picking up this quarter's AHS bottles.

    I picked this up at the SN brewery store in Mills River on 9/17 for $50. You know you're a die hard beer geek when you're just glad that it's not listed at $60. Haven't popped one yet but I'm excited about both the rum and red wine treatments. Loving SN in NC.
