Happy Saturday. Still feels like fall, and maybe some rain tomorrow.
We will be going to Worcester for parents weekend; haven't seen the boy in a month.

    Flying Fish Exit 7
    Porter brewed with porkroll
Or as some say "taylor ham"

The trenton exit on the turnpike i believe (7) And for those curious theres a slight smoked glazed ham taste in there. Porkroll is a staple and im glad I got to try it in beer.
    Cheers

Good morning BA, have a great Saturday! It’s supposed to rain all day up here, need to figure out something productive to do today. Beer this morning:

Awesome pale ale! Glad we get these in the 6 packs now. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with some light honey/toasted bready malt; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish. Very crisp and sticky/resinous mouthfeel with light grainy creaminess. Zero hop astringency despite aggressive bitterness. Love it!

Incredible as usual. Flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, habanero pepper, and pine; with some light-moderate honey/light caramel malts; with floral/grassy hop, and herbal pepper earthiness. Good amount of pine/grassy bitterness and pepper spice on the finish; very smooth finish with moderate stickiness from hop/pepper resins. Moderate dryness from bitterness/spice as well. Warming heat from peppers, but not overwhelming. I always throw this into mix six packs on a regular basis. All of the great hop complexity of the base beer with a nice kick of pepper spice/heat. I go through a liter of hot sauce every two weeks, so YMMV on this, but I love it. Super polarizing in the reviews.

Insane as always! Huge flavors of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, molasses, toffee, bourbon, toasted oak, coconut, light licorice/raisin, and light smoke/char. Balanced bittersweet roast/char finish with some spicy bourbon/oak against sweetness; light-medium carbonation and full bodied creamy/silky rich mouthfeel. Very smooth sipping with lightly warming alcohol. Really glad I decided to revisit this earlier in the year. My original review opinion in 2013 was less than the base beer; but now I feel it blows the base beer out of the water. Literally my go-to barrel aged RIS now, totally worth the price because it sits on the shelf all over the place almost all year; and is basically the same price as Bourbon County. Will be grabbing it again real soon.

Glad they finally brought this back after 4 years or something since I last had it. This is a really great American brown ale! Not as intensely hoppy as I remembered in my 2012 review, will have to update my score. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with balanced caramel, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, and light nutty/chocolate/coffee maltiness. Moderate pine/grassy hop and lightly roasted bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; with balanced malt creaminess, hop stickiness, and light resins in the mouthfeel. Light increasing bitter dryness. I was a big fan of this, more so than I remember it 4 years ago. Would pick up again for 5 bucks a bomber. Can never go wrong with Lagunitas pricing.

    Cheers

It's something my late father had. Maybe one day I'll hang it on the wall and use it as a real phone, but for now, my kids love playing with it. Cheers, Silent Bob!

    • Good morning BAs! Back from the lastest gallavanting across the country - got back in time for dinner last night. Of course, after being gone 24 days (Mrs. Lizard's count), the cupboard was bare - only beer from the cooler. The new hatchling turtles are sitting beside my computer until I can get some filters for the tank they're going to be populating soon. Today's non-Texas Breakfast Beer is:
