I'm not gonna buy hoarders pours for people unless they wear my pin while they drink it.

Not sure if this has been stated, but the archive bottle sales out of the Fulfillment Center are public sales.

So any non members watching this thread may want to stop in and have a look.

Revisiting the topic of customer service at the Fulfillment Center.

    Emailed in advance.

Walked in, showed my ID, they got my beer while looked over archive list, checked off my beers, ordered from the archive list, payed my bill, walked out with my beer. Entire transaction took about 5 minutes.

    Friendly, fast, accurate, done.

This is one of the reasons I renew.

Got a chance to try The Grade and recommend. Nice maple flavor, not overpowering. Definitely buying some.

Oktoberfest yesterday was great. It was fun to see them brew a bunch of German beers to style. Some of my favorites were the Weizenbock, Hefeweizen, and the Dunkelweizen. I had never heard of the Lichtenhainer style (kind of like a Berliner Weisse with lightly smoked malt). It was surprisingly good. They also had some cool non traditional stuff like a Hefeweizen that was massively dry hopped with Citra (I think Andrew said it had 2 pounds for a 15 gallon keg) and a Kellerpils dry hopped with Mosaic.

Just like the last event at Terreux, the size of the crowd was perfect for the barrel aging building. The weather was perfect so it was really nice to have the outdoor area where the food was served.

Patrick, Jim, and Andrew were there the whole time and had lots of time to chat. Got to ask them quite a few questions about all the new beers I saw in barrels.

And now I have a Bruery Oktoberfest boot glass for my collection!!!

Lichtnehainers are such cool beers but few people do them anymore. Freigeist has an apple one that's awesome. Great to see the Bruery touching all the bases for German styles, would have loved to have flown out for it.

How was the dry hopped hefe? I've been toying with the idea of doing this at home.

It tasted lot a whole lot of Citra hops!!!

If I were to do a home brew batch of a dry hopped wheat beer, I would shoot for something like MT Fortunate Islands.

If you specifically want to make it a Hef where the banana/clove still comes through, then you will need to show some restraint with the dry hopping. Especially with a hop like Citra.

Back to drinking out of my new boot glass!!!

The fill line in that photo is 0.5L

Also the first bruery glass I'm not worried about shattering when I wash it.

Cool. Didn't know. Just going off the Bruery Society Facebook page, the MySpace angle and the quoted fill they were giving. Almost 17oz is definitely better than 4oz.

Allocations go through next week, right? Because we got a late start this month I think.
