@beace is there a cellaring process that the brewery implements? There was a recent lizardville vintage release, I think I remember them having 2014 and 2015 bourbon barrel oil bottles for purchase, and some others.

Lizardville "cellared" the vintages there IIRC.

Yeah that was either Cavalier or Lizard. I have cellared cases of most things at the brewery. We will be offering a cellared bottle list at the brewpub in coming months...

Will those bottles be 3x the normal cost for on premise consumption only?

Not 3, but they will be more than 11.99, or 20 for bombers, etc..

Drinking a 2015 bottle of Champion Ground and it's still amazing! I will say, liked it more fresh overall because of the coffee addition (which has obviously faded), but it's so chocolate and vanilla forward with smooth, sweet bourbon. Sad it's my last one. D:

I really dig on premise vintage bottles. If they're sold at normal cost nothing would hang around for very long and if it's too pricey there will always be plenty of awesome things on tap at regular cost. I appreciate getting to side project or westbrook weeks or months after a release and that beer I've been dying to try is still there. Also I'd gladly shell out $30 or $40 or whatever it ends up being for a bottle of dynamo fuzz or token right now, and if I feel cheap I'll get some ricky.

In general, many folks on this site are hilariously cheap.

They'll wax poetic about the glory of beer but scoff at paying $15 for a six pack.

Nothing wrong with treating yourself every once in awhile!

Please note, I am gainfully employed but FAR from rich.

:astonished: Have a feeling you may be disappointed if you're looking for $30 bottles of Token.

Between the Hoof Hearted thread and this one, these arguments give me a damn headache

Yeah guessing it'll be more recent stuff, but still would be really cool to revisit stuff I drank too soon.

I don't care how good a beer is. If a bottle costs $30+ there is absolutely no reason why I would ever need to consume more than one. It's just beer. You will piss it out an hour after you drink it.

It just seems odd that you'd be on this site. It's for people who are nuts for beer!!!

By your logic, I hope you never spend $30 on dinner. It's just gonna be poop, right?!

I didn't say I wouldn't buy one, just wouldn't by multiples. When a beer costs that much its more of a "check it off the list" purchase.

What about for people who: (1) actually enjoy them, (2) can afford them, and (3) aren't treating beer like Pokemon or stamps [i.e. not checking them off a list]? I totally see justification for multiples, even if it's just pee later.

I'm just going to retract my previous statement for the sake of not turning the JO thread into another debate. I know I am in the minority with that mindset on a site like this. Was just thinking out loud and it really didn't add anything to the thread. Carry on.
