Wondering how that lactose is going to hold up for the next few years.

Probably not good. Aren't the rest of the series good to age for more than 3 years?

They're all intended to be aged until 12 Drummers Drumming comes out.

Spoiler alert: The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

frankly, minus a year or two, the whole 12 year experiment isn't worth more than just buying the bottle and forgetting about it in the boxes considering the years I have tasted.

It's going to be more of a "well, I did it" sort of vertical tasting more than anything else when we reach that destined year.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall to see the reactions of people who bought or traded for Partridge when it was at peak value around 2012. That was never more than a slightly above average beer and time has not been kind to it.

Although I don't have enough bottles to be tasting EVERYTHING multiple times during the course of this 12-year aging experiment, I will say that as long as BA 2 Turtle Doves continues to impress I have high hopes for the BA bottles. The "regular" variants? Eh...we'll see.

I agree, I had ba2td less than a year ago and was amazed, I think I still have 2 bottles of that one

I enjoyed the BA 4 Calling Birds about 8 months ago, and from what I remember, it held up really quite well.

I have the entire set, BA and non, and a few extras of most to have been testing through the years. The BA Birds and Rings are still awesome, while BA Geese is starting to sour a little from the ones I've had. Hens was always sour and even more so now. I'm looking forward to doing the set with a group of friends when BA Drummers hits, but I honestly don't have high hopes for most of them, it's more of a huge tick off the list at this point. Who knows, we may be surprised by a few.

I'm really curious how BA 8 Maids is going to be. A BA milk stout is right up my alley, so hopefully it's as good as I'm expecting it to be.

Probably the same reaction the folks had who traded me >$500 worth of beer for my Stone 2/2/02 when they opened that! When the word started getting out about that beer (once people actually tried it), I was "only" able to get a Utopias for my 2nd one.

See, I knew it wasn't true that greed was a phenomenon exclusive to new money beer traders.

Does anyone remember the list on the website that would show what beers have been released, and what beers are still not released. The released beers had a line crossed through them. It was on the old website I believe. Cant find it on the new one. @BruerJoel

There's the one that's on the 1st page of this forum that one of the moderators changes. I wasn't aware of anything on the actual bruery site.

Yes, this was pretty over the top, I admit, but (in my defense) I didn't set up the trade - a buddy of mine did and I was shocked at what he was able to fetch (considering I paid $4.99 for each bottle).
