Anyone had this yet? Heard it was like an amped up version of Skillet Donut Stout. I just purchased a 4pack, and at $15 for 4 16oz cans it is a bargain if it is decent. I am not really familiar with Southern Pines, but I am going to keep an eye on them.

I liked it a lot. Not sure it needed to be 14%, but it's good. I like Skillet better, but this beer is definitely a bargain.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, @TomDRaleigh! Picked up two yesterday at Bottle Rev. Certainly a bargain. Just finished one before dinner tonight, and wow, I'm impressed. ABV aside, this goes toe-to-toe with Skillet. It might even edge it out, IMO. It's that good. So many flavors. Hard to believe it's 14% as well. This beer should make some more noise. Well done, Southern Pines.

My pleasure, I had my first one today and I was stunned how smooth and tasty it was.

FYI: If anyone is still looking for it, Drunken Vigils hit GSO today. Gate City Growlers and Beer Co have it in stock. I assume the other usual suspects will get some soon.

So excited about this I have to share! Another batch is in the works! 60bbl, with a release event at the brewery on Oct 15th. If they allow it, I might seriously buy a case of it.

I was wrong about the release on the 15th. They should have it availabe on draft during thier anniversary party on the 15th. The actual can release is on going to be a ticketed deal. The tickets go on sale the 24th through eventbrite, see thier Instagram for the link if interested. Price is $19.99 + tax and processing fee per 4pack. Case limit. Pick up days are Oct 1 (9am to 2pm), and Oct 2nd (12pm to 3pm).

Personally I am a little disappointed in this. I think it is an amazing brew, but feel like they are trying to make it too big too quickly. Last year is was available in bottle shops (though it did sell out in a day or two) for $16+/-. Now they are doing tickets, brewery only, and $20+?

I am sure I will still get it though.

Wow, picked it up a Bombers Beverage in Wilmington, NC, two can limit. I thought the 14% ABV was a misprint. Thought it was a little thin at first, but it just kept growing in complexity as it warmed a bit. Great beer, interested in trying much more from Southern Pines.

Did this hit the Triangle yet or did I totally miss it? Don't recall seeing any local bottleshops post anything....

It hit Tasty and Sams, I know Tasty sold out that night. Both had special events for it. State of Beer is suppose to get some soon. I would assume other shops will get some in the next few weeks. Every place that gets it seems to be limiting it from 2 cans to a 4 pack per person.

FYI Glass Jug received theirs yesterday and I was able to pick up 2 4-packs today at ~$18 each (they upped the limit from one 4-pack yesterday to two today). Haven't tried it yet but plan to do a side-by-side with the last release this weekend. Haven't checked Beer Study since yesterday (they didn't have it yet) but they told me it should land this week. Distro prices seem to be lower than brewery prices which sucks for the folks that picked it up at release.

Beer Study had some yesterday (Sunday). They had about half a case sitting behind the bar, not sure if there was any more unseen. It was a two can limit per customer. I grabbed a single, looking forward to trying it.
