I was looking for some Abyss '07 and '08 but don't see it being traded that often so I can't really put a finger on what it takes to land. Any help would greatly be appreciated. People were asking for Blacknote, Czar Jack, 2009 Darkness, King Henry, etc.... I didn't think it was worth that in trade value but i could be mistaken. What have you traded to land a vintage abyss?
I was wondering the same thing... I offered an 06 a week or two back and it got buried in the trading forum so quickly only a few people viewed it. Still have it by the way. I do not think a King Henry or 09 Darkness would be a bad trade for either person for an 07 or 08.
IMO, 06 is worth a good bit more than any other vintage, although I'd have a hard time saying what's "fair" for it. I don't know that I'd trade a 07 or 08 Abyss for any current release other than a few very hard to find ones. King Henry alone certainly wouldn't do it for me, nor Upland Lambics, which seem pretty easy to trade for with other current releases. Perhaps I could be off and other people value them lower, but that's my gut feeling on them (and I'd be quite happy to just drink them myself).
Sent out 07/08 for shelf stuff a month ago. I think $40 worth. (Relevant: Trader was searching in ISO/FT and was generous in BIFs)
