This device is imperative for camping (my opinion is supported by the comical promotional video on Waytap's kickstarter site.)

    That's a pretty good strategy!

A growler is a draft beer turned into a bottled beer. I've actually seen it done: it's like magic for a while, then it gets old.

If this is the product I'm thinking of, the video I saw showed the glasses with a lot of foam on top. If this is for 12oz bottles or even 22oz I don't really want 1/3 of my glass being all foam. Some is fine but not inches worth. The ad didn't impress me, so I'll just stick to my bottle opener and hands to pour my beers.

Science...the sound waves will change the bubble size of the beer, which will impact the head formation/retention, and the mouthfeel. It cant change or recharge the carbonation level since it has no CO2 source other than what is in the beer, but sound waves will change the properties of the bubbles. So does shaking the bottle...

Fluff...expecting that this will make a canned or bottled beer taste just like fresh, on tap beer. The difference in mouthfeel and the "ooh-ahh" look of the head might be playing some trickery. In my opinion (whatever that is worth) it is a gadget with a pretty weak claim to fame. Some reviews I have read disagree completely, but a lot of chatter was on the look, saying the beer looks like a draft pour. But there are some saying it does make beer taste "better". One from a fairly reputable source claims it revived a flat growler which actually makes some sense, as the remaining CO2 would be perked up by the sonic transducer. It doesnt add carbonation, just changes the physical properties of whatever gas is already there.

I've read a couple of reviews that gave pretty good results. Founders centennial was used. Gives beer a different texture, not necessarily better, just different and close to, but not exactly draft. Only problem was not ideal for hoppy beers, takes the edge off and tends to make beers sweeter. Also does not accommodate 22oz or 750ml. only 12oz and up to 25oz cans. Nice design, fair price point, cheaper then original, would consider for novelty sake. Would like to do side by side.

i was considering. the lack of 22oz bombers and dulling effect it has on hoppy beers makes me second guess. i would get it for gimmick sakes, looks, and probably be more of a x-mas request then a must buy.
