From Short's Facebook page, a sneak peek at the next Private Stache, available next month:

You might want to edit that because it says:

"Sneak preview: Our next Private Stache brew, Tequila Sauna, will be released at the pub and Short's Mart later this month. Stay tuned for more information.

Sour and tequila....two of my least favorite things when it comes to alcohol. Looks like I'll be sitting this one out!

Tequila Sauna is a Short's creation to it's core, IMO-

A bunch of people won't like it. A bunch of people will think they won't like it, try it, and love it. And a bunch of people will simply love it.

Tequila barrels and sour beers are about as good a match as wine barrels and sour beers imho. Throw in the orange and pomegranate and this could be a stellar beer. Too bad it's Private Stache, as I won't be making it up that far north to grab a bottle.

Just got the latest newsletter, and it listed the three bottle releases this month: PGGB, Kind Ale, and Black Cherry Porter.

PGGB is listed on the website at 10.2%! In years past it 8.4%. He's growing up.

Had PGGB today at the pub and it's the best batch yet, IMO.

Awesome. Can't wait to get my hands on this one and Richard when it's released. My house is gonna be a Belgian Bungalow.

Oh, and some advice: If you're out and about and find a place that has Chickenbach Brown on tap, do yourself a favor and order a pint. Had a flight of Soft Parade Shandy, Chickenbach, Bourbon Slow Jam, and Tunnel Bear recently and Chickenbach was hands down the favorite at my table.

    Just hit the website:

    PGGB!

"Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster is a double Belgian IPA brewed with Australian Galaxy hops. The nose is an impressive dank blend of citrus aromas reminiscent of guava and lemons, very green and fresh with subtle Belgian yeast esters. An intense clean bitterness dominates the flavor profile with little malt character to compete with. A slight, fruity yeast sweetness is noticeable in the finish alongside a resounding bitterness.

Find this interstellar double Belgian IPA on Michigan store shelves and flowing from taps right now. But be careful! Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster packs a wallop, clocking in at 10.2% ABV and 88 IBUs. After two of those brews, the dullest, most by-the-book Michigander will be up on the bar in stilettos, yodeling mountain shanties and swearing he’s the king of Bellaire."

Short's originally left this one off the schedule for this year, then brought it back and bigger than ever at 10.2%. Definitely in the "hit in the head with a gold bar wrapped in a slice of lemon" territory.

WHOA! This batch of PGGB is the best one yet. I'm going to have to buy another sixer

Anyone know if PGGB will hit IL? Not only is it my favorite Short's beer, it's been one of my favorite beers overall the past couple of years.

Any word on when Kind Ale is coming out? I saw it was moved up to September on the release schedule online so hoping it is next week since September is almost done.

The schedule the rest of the way looks killer. Really hoping to see that "penciled in" Aorta show up on that release schedule.

Glad to see they upped the ABV to try to make it a bit more worthy of the name, but it still seems a bit pedestrian for a Gargleblaster.

Shorts belgian IPAs are just so good, loving gargle blaster! Maybe Van Dammage can make it into a variety pack.

I've thought about suggesting through the website a Belgian variety pack, if I thought it had a chance of happening. I don't know if there's enough people out there who like Belgian style ales to support putting one out. You know, I may have a PGGB tonight and do that.

There's a few of Short's Belgian ales that could use a bottle release. Van Dammage, Ectoplasmo, Dubbel Down, Hoppin' the Cherry would be some of my top picks.

Not to mention Richard (which is supposed to come out in kegs this month), and Evil Urges, which is off the schedule this year. Urges holds up pretty well, maybe I'll find a few stray bottles somewhere.

And hopefully there'll be more than last year. I was only able to grab two bottles with the last release. Although capacity doesn't seem to be an issue at all this year.
