Well, I saw this and figured I should crack my last can of Southern Passion. I'm not experiencing any big difference from 2 weeks ago. Still nice fruity aroma, juicy taste. Maybe a little cloudier. Half poured into a tulip glass. Then I took a sip out of the can and found the taste much brighter and intense. And that leads me to a question I've been meaning to ask...

Does anyone exclusively drink these out of the can? I always thought a big beer with big flavor needs room to breathe, but I know I'm not basing that on anything scientific. Recently I noticed that All Citra Everything, the DMD and now this Southern Passion had a more enjoyable taste in the can compared to out. My recent ritual now is to drink them half and half, although I tried that with the Space Diamonds and did not enjoy it in the can.

Yeah for a while the Alchemist had convinced me that I had to drink beer out of the can, but now I pretty much exclusively pour (and sometimes compare side by side). I actually prefer green diamonds out of the can though, to be honest.

I had some QC issues with Southern Passion, but i thought it was just in my head. I thought all my cans (yep, all 12 of them) were slightly underfilled by maybe 0.5-1 oz. Anyone else feel the same or am I crazy?

I can't believe how good Nelson Motueka became after a week in the can. First day I just thought it smelled super grassy and was a little thin. A week later It was like an entirely different looking beer. Nice chewy body, full of lime flavor from the Motueka, and so light and refreshing.

@Kanger Do you know if DDH DMD is being kegged at all and going up in the taproom tonight, prior to the release tomorrow?

At least some of it is getting kegged as we'll have one for our takeover next Thurs with OH at WF Columbus Circle.

    Broccoli Double IPA
    Topical Depression
    Forever Ever
    IPA
    DDH Double Mosaic Dream
    All Green Everything
    Equinox/Topaz
    Other Southern Double IPA
    Forever Simcoe
    Amarillo IPA

A quick check of the calendar shows it's not April 1... so what's this all about?

So I haven't been to a release in a long while, especially to none of these QUADRUPLE DIPA EXTRAVAGANZAS. I have been following the thread and their instagram posts, and it looks like if you show up in the afternoon, it's a safe bet that you'll there will be full allotment available for at least some of the beers. 2 to 3 of the 4.

What are yall's thoughts on AGE being around for the walk-ins at 12:30/1? Asking for a friend who wants to come in from philly and wants at least a 4-pack of AGE.

Unless this is a big departure from the past few releases, there is probably a really good chance that AGE will be available then. I'm thinking DDHDMD is the only one really at risk of being gone by then.

Yeah I'm hoping I can show up around 10:30-11 and buy a couple 4 packs of DDHDMD and Simcoe/Wai-iti without much of a line. Crossing my fingers! I'll try to post here about the line/can supply after I leave. I've noticed OH isn't as good as some breweries (looking at you, Tree House) about updating their can amounts during releases.

It was my last one and 4-5 weeks is as long as I'll let an IPA sit before it goes down the drain but the Simcoe I just drank was delicious. Straight pine hops with a clean bitterness.

Don't sleep on the single hopped single IPAs from OH, I'm excited for Amarillo tomorrow.

I also plan to get there around 11. Hoping the line has dwindled by then, hated waiting in line for hours and then see people at 5 had no lines/limits (oat overdose day). Hopefully a short wait and ddh mosaic will still be there

You can give them to me after 5 weeks instead of drain pouring them!
