Anybody know if they will have some next week? Is it made year-round?

It is year-round as of a month or so ago. Check their web site.

It is $35. I was at FFF brewpub a week ago and they told me that they will have Zombie Dust available "for a long time." Not exactly sure how long "a long time" is, however it's been consistently available since the end of January/early February. It is a year-round brew, but the demand has been off the charts. The limited availibility of Citra hops hasn't helped as Zombie Dust is a single-hop brew. Make sure to pick up some Lord Admiral Nelson if it's still available in bombers, really tasty special ESB...

How has availability been for 6packs/cases outside of the brewpub? Are places like Binny's carrying it on a regular basis or is it still pretty hit and miss?

Still hit or miss, more miss than hit. And it is usually at the 11.99 pricetag that most chicago stores charge for FFF

Agreed. Very little has hit distribution and the random case that makes it to a store is snapped up almost immediately. I did see it at West Lakeview Liquors on Tuesday for $11.99. No stores outside the city of Chicago have received it, to my knowledge. Some of the bars in the city have gotten kegs of it recently, including Beer Bistro on Madison. Supposedly that keg kicked in a a day or so. Still for the most part, it's brewpub only.

it's $35 for a case if they have any. if they don't hit me up maybe we can work out a trade or something. i can probably part with a six pack left in my case i bought about a month ago.

I talked to a manager @ Binny's out in the burbs and he said that FFF intentionally does not allow distribution of Zombie Dust outside the city of Chicago. Although if you look hard enough, you will be able to find it in the Chi. Last week I had it on tap @ the Publican and it was in bottle form @ Publican Quality Meats.

So the only sure fire place to obtain it is to go to the brew pub (even then its been known to sell out quick).

Same story I've been told -- city only for bottles. Kegs are certainly reaching the 'burbs, though.

Sounds like it would be great on tap. How do you think it is compared to out of the bottle?

It's pretty consistent from tap or bottle.
This is not a hard to get brew, and that's awesome.
I'm by FFF pretty regularly, so if you're having a hard time scoring ZD, BM me. I'm always up for a little $4$ trading, and can mule for folks around here who can't get away that often.

It's ever so slightly better on tap, but in general, most APA's are a bit better on tap, in my opinion. The first few times I had Zombie Dust was at the brewpub before they bottled it. In fact, it was actually called Cenotaph back then.
