Samuel Adams 2015 Utopias Released

Received my glass today. It has a small bubble in the glass to the left of the logo.

Kind of irritating. Sent them an email asking how they handle exchanges for defective merchandise.

 

Got an email from the Store customer service, they are sending a replacement. Painless.

 

I think California has to do with prop 65 labels. But about the beer...Screw it...Yes I tried it, I was happy for the opportunity to try it. But I wouldn't worry about not trying it.

There are lots of better things to do with 200$...go on a 100$ beer binge and donate the rest to charity

 

So, where can I buy this little beauty ?

 

This beer is released late in the year and is very limited quantities, but because of its cost, it can linger in some stores. If you've got the $200+ to spend, you can do a search of the Mid-Atlantic forum for a thread on this beer and see if any recent posts there will help you. If not, add a post to the thread and say where you are located and whether anyone thinks you have a chance of finding it close-by.

 

Don't forget to keep in mind that it is (usually) only released every other year.

 

If you live in San Francisco, there are six bottles at the Marina Safeway.

 

Some liquor stores post that they have it.. But be ready to pay some markup on them!!

 

I saw a sign at the Big Y supermarket in Franklin, MA, saying that they had it for sale, $199.

 

Just bought one of these on LCBO website for $112 CDN. Going through this thread, seems like the LCBO buying power paid off on this one.

Question though, how long can it last once opened?

 

I can't give you an exact answer on how long it'll last, but I can tell you that my 2013 bottle has tasted fantastic every time I've had a pour. I first opened it over a year ago.

The particular tones and dominant flavors have evolved a bit since I opened mine 6 months ago, but it's still delicious - must be sipped from a small snifter though. Had it from a shot glass a month ago and was afraid it had already peaked until I tried again from a proper glass.
