Looks like a smaller can run/release from Track 7 this week. I guess only NE IPAs get the hype.

It also looks like their "Hoppy Palm" Pale Ale will now be in stores around Sac in 12 oz cans. It will add to the Panic, Slow Roll and Bee Line 12 oz cans that are now in just about every Supermarket in Sacramento/Placer County.

Some expansion news in the SAC Bee newspaper Today.

BIKE DOG Brewing is opening a new tap room on 9th and Broadway. 2,500 sq ft, also with a patio facing Broadway. Across from the old cemetery.

Look forward to stopping by. But really it is only a few miles from the Brewery in West Sac. Gives them a much bigger presence in Sac and Mid town though. Not as "Industrial" as the brewery either...haha...

Looking forward to it...one of the top breweries in our area for sure.

They probably just want to be more in a neighborhood with a flow of people and closer to downtown. Just easier access for people in Sacramento. Especially at lunch or after work for all the State Government Workers downtown.

The current BDog production brewery and small taproom is in a very industrial area. It is right next to the shipping port by the deep water shipping channel (on right below). Most non-beer geeks won't even go over there to that part of town. Even though it is only a few minutes from downtown.

This gives them a indoor space that can be temperature controlled during the 100 degree summers. Also with a parking lot so all the people from the suburbs can park. (and a large bike rack..lol.. It is BIKE Dog after all...)

The new location is only minutes from Downtown, Midtown and the neighborhoods of Land Park, Curtis Park and East Sac.

I would try that one if it is from Belching Beaver.

BB even did a colab Lager with Track 7 recently.

Moonraker released another NE IPA this weekend. "Sling Jaw" Pretty damn good. Maybe just a touch hoppier then Yojo. Several people I was with liked it better then even Yojo.

Track 7 doing another can release today. Sukahops NE IPA is back. Smaller can run this time.

They also have a new NE IPA on draft only. Azequanot is a mash-up of the two main hops used in the beer - Azacca and Equanot (formerly Equinox). It hails as a 6.3% IPA.

Hitting Natomas after work for sure.

I got to try the Track 7 Azequanot NE IPA on draft yesterday. Pretty solid. A bit different in the hops, but still pretty juicy. The mouth-feel is closer to their L&H in VT, thicker then the Sukahops IPA.

Hey @theconductor ... Could you tell me more about the MRAZ Sours Event at Final Gravity. I saw your post on the other board. Is it at Auburn or Roseville FG? November 5th? Didn't see anything on FB/Twitter/Instg yet.

I have been looking for some good Sour and other BA beers locally, but I usually don't get up towards El Dorado Hills very often. Haven't been up to Mraz Brewing yet. What are good ones to get started with?

I usually see a lot of good things posted about Mraz on SBE.

We're still working out the details and the final list. I would expect around five Mraz kettle sours and five barrel aged sours. One of the BA sours being our collab with him, which will also be available in bottles. We'll have a couple of hoppy and/or other non-sour Mraz beers on tap as well. I'll chime in on this thread when we have a final list.

As far as what to drink now, his Framboise is still on some shelves around town as well as the recently released Saison Je Blackberry. Both are excellent BA sours. His kettle sours pop up around town on tap in the many fruited varieties with 3 Berry being one of the most popular. However, the Mraz Gose is my go to. It's a great dry-hopped sour gose.

On a non-sour note, keep an eye out for Coffee Pot Porter. A new batch was just released with a local roaster. It is one of the best (imperial) coffee porters out there.

    Cheers!

    At both T7 locations:

Panic 4A is canned, labeled and ready for you to pick up today (10.12) at 3 pm when the taprooms open. We also are tapping Contact Low Northeast-Inspired Pale Ale. Contact Low is the second pale ale in our Northeast-Inspired series. It features Amarillo and Nelson Sauvin hops. Stop by to taste the haze.

Auburn Thai Garden is awesome! Nu is so friendly and generous, food is good and a good beer selection. I try and make it up there whenever I'm in the area.

Hey, I'm pretty new to this area, and I've got a kinda specific question: is there any place y'all recommend with good beers on tap where I could invite coworkers to go and watch warriors games? Preferably in Arden or downtown. I looked through the forums and saw Burgers and Brew and Dukes pop up a couple times, but I can't tell from pictures if they're big enough to bring a potentially decent-sized group or if they've got good tv space

In midtown Sac. Possibly for a group..... University of Beer, they have 9 TVs and 100 taps.

If you are leaning to a place with more sports in the Arden area, they have a Twin Peaks on Howe Ave. Big Sports bar, so limited good beer selection. There are also several Buffalo Wild Wings around for Sports, but limited beer selection.

Also keep in mind that if the Sacramento Kings are on at the same time, the Warriors game might not be the priority at these places.

Some of the smaller tap rooms usually only have 1 or 2 tvs. But they may put the Warriors on for you.

Check out Flaming Grill in the Arden area.
