Headed down to Athens this afternoon, looking forward to having a barrel aged Oro Negro on tap. Wife is looking forward to cheesecake at the brewpub.
Also something about a bottle release?
Anyone know if there are bands playing at the Public House tonight(website doesn't list anything) or at the Smiling Skull(notoriously lack of info from that place)? Saw there's some metal bands playing at the Casa, Latina night at the Union. Probably end up at the Casa, but I'd like to know all of my options.

Went to the release yesterday. Had a blast. It was my first go with both BA Oro and Champion Ground. Both are stellar. The mug is great too!

 

I think it's time for it, case count?

Just left the taproom and they said they were out of mugs.

Can you buy CG bottles at the public house or do you have to get them at the production facility?

 

They were doing 6 bottles per person at the taproom and public house Thursday and Friday so you could end up with a case if you wanted.

The good thing is everyone will spend all their money on the champion ground so black maple might be around a bit longer. Both great beers. I enjoy stocking up on this stuff to enjoy through the cold winter months!

 

We sell bottles at both locations, 6/person/day at both, so 12 total.

Went down this weekend to pick up the 6 Champion Ground (and I thought a mug, but hadn't checked back in here since Tuesday, I believe, but definitely not Friday, to see they were out).

Had a pour of the Champion Ground and while it was great, I was absolutely gobsmacked by the BB Oro. Absolutely amazing! (Not just a home run, but that was a Grand Slam Brad!) And then to find out they sold out of the bottles Friday. That KILLED me. (Especially now, after reading about the idea of 1/2 CG + 1/2 BBON.)

That said, I can guarantee it won't be too long before my next trip down. Whether it's BBBM or BBON or something else, I need more Jackie O's beers. (And hopefully, I'll have more time to have things on tap.)

 

You could have just gotten a pour of both at the same time.

 

And if I'd read this thread/that post before I got there, I most definitely would have done so.
