Great birthday gift! Got a winning ticket. I would be down to do a bottle share somewhere around there if anyone else is?

I have no idea where that place is. I'm just hoping with all the Cantillion I've seen hit the Triangle this week means that sometime in the near future I'll finally get to try them.

Peabody's got theirs today too, specifically said they weren't doing shipping for those though.

Guy I talked to there said there were people waiting at the door and everything was gone in 10 minutes.

This might be silly, but my ticket for Zwanze Day says the event starts at noon, but FB and the Fonta Flora page says the event starts at 1pm. Anyone know which it is?

Overall really well ran, I really appreciate FF keeping the event small, as it seemed they were just able to handle the amount of people there. The lines were a little long as they were having a lot of issues with pours, but I think pretty much everyone was able to try everything.

Having bottles on sale and Rhythm Rug on tap was a nice suprise, almost as much of a surprise as Wicked Weed dropping Framboos Morte last night.

As most people's 'groups' didnt get in, it was a good opportunity to meet a lot of new beer people and mingle. The prezel truck was pretty tasty as well.

Would I want to spend $75 again for the experience? Probably not, but I am really glad I have done it once.

What bottles were on sale? Saw some of the Florida events had fou and some others.

From posts I saw looked like a juniper saison called Plumage and that "brezelvass" they're calling Underground.

Nice, was thinking they would probably have RR on draft. What Cantillon were they pouring other than Zwanze and I saw they had Mamouche?

    The Loons list was:
    1. Zwanze
    2. Iris Grand Cru
    3. Mamouche
    4. Classic Gueuze
    5. Kriek
Not a crazy list at all, personally, the Kriek and Classic are very good, the rest are pretty ho hum compared to a lot of Cantillons.

No loon bottles for sale. The glass is a little disappointing compared to other Zwanze locations

However the band they had in was on point and a ton of fun.

Glass looked pretty cool to me. I also really like Mamouche, but Iris is better with a little age on it IMO.

Regardless of first timeout not, I thought the Fonte team did great. Definitely comparable to my experience at Novare Res for last years Zwanze Day. Lines stacked up a little bit for Cantillon pours, but with the ability to sip on Carolina custard, RR, etc. while waiting, I had zero complaints. My low key gem of the day was Pontoon Parade. Such a good beer.

I liked the choice to use a more traditional lambic style glass. Seemed to fit in with FF's style more than if they chose glasses like SP or Trillium had for theirs.

I'll have to second the pretzel truck and band as well. Both were a nice complement.

All in all, a great day.
