So I haven't made it all the way through the thread yet, but my parents recently moved to Casper, well Evansville, and have been reading about what you report the are as having. Do you guys get much in terms of Midwest stuff as well as all the Rocky Mountain Goodness? I ask because I will probably be headed that way next year. Too late in the year for me now with impending travels already scheduled before the snow flies.:grinning:

Midwest stuff is near non existent. Rocky Mountain stuff is spotty. We get a very infinitesimal amount of beers from Colorado, Montana, Idaho and Utah but it seems to be getting better all the time. Gotta remember our small population dictates the limited distribution.

We DO get quite a bit of impressive imports. Stuff that I never thought I would see in Casper a few short years ago.

Sounds good to me either way, That's been one of the more fun aspects of travelling around the states so far is the variety you get just by moving a hundred miles in any direction.

You as well as I know, we have Jacob Alquist to thank for that! His commitment and dedication to craft, not just locally, but world wide. is so awesome! I mean he had those Birrificio Black Barrel's before anyone in this state, and I even dare say, other major cities!

I heartily agree based solely on looking at this thread and seeing the kind of variety you guys have compared to what I have seen in the SE. Great to see! I never really go to Casper, but next time I'm back I might have to take a little road trip.

Well it will be sad to leave this great state and Jacob, but I am going back to Philly where the beer flows so divinely!

I'm really sorry to hear about the Wonder Bar closing.:slight_frown: It's always a shame with places but especially when they are so old and well-known. I hope it doesn't put too much of a kink in your beer enjoyment, @Bitterbill and other Casper BAs.

Yeah, immediately after WB and Poor Boys were sold, the new owners are closing them down. All employees are being discharged, from what I've heard. Rumors are floating around what the Wonder Bar will become...

New beers in town: Upslope Experimental IPA Collaboration with Rock Film Tour, Odell Crossover Sour Blonde, Deschutes Big Rig Classic Pub Ale. Also, the rebranded Odell Jolly Russian.

Edit: Do not add Jolly Russian as a new beer. It's an alias for Russian Pirate.

Bottles of Grand Teton Imperial Coffee Porter are here. It has, imho, brought back the glory of their Cellar Reserve Series. August 2016 bottling.

There's some, but old old bottles, nothing new at all.

    Cheers!

Dang. But now you can buy beers you never could in Utah and I can't buy in Wyoming. What is your favorite since you moved to Colorado?

Really no favorites, but nice to see Stone, Avery, DFH, locals, and many many more.
