Twin Cities Bottle Hunt - 2016 Edition

Different format, cans, no release at the brewery this year. I know last year, it was no problem finding it. I saw it weeks after the release. It will be dependent on output and each store. $20/ 4 pack of cans vs. $20 bomber. Of course, if a store sells them as $8/ can, that would be different.
I'm not clearing my schedule. I'll grab a few 4 packs, if I don't I'm not too worried.
Pretty excited to tailgate with Rumking! Cans... Rumking on a boat, at the pool... should be interesting.

 

This is what I heard too.

I see Weyerbacher's Imperial Pumpkin Ale on shelves now in the west Metro. I believe the bottles are this years batch but I didn't check the dates. The other Weyerbacher bombers I see have been sitting a long time.

 

I just want to get a case to bring to my cabin!

 

I would guess it will be fairly plentiful. Hasn't been hard to get in the past, & that was with a lot of bottles being sold at the brewery during the release day. Assuming they brewed a similarly sized batch, that means there should be a lot out in the wild this year, liquid volume-wise. My unfounded guess is that it should be around for a week or so; though take into account that I'm usually wildly wrong.

 

I bet it's from last year. When we were in Madison in May, we stopped by a place that was blowing out Weyerbacher Pumpkin 4-packs for $2.99 - per 4 pack, not per bottle. Doesn't seem like pumpkin beers are the fastest movers!

 

If one of you guys called Thomas looking for roundhouse last week, we have it now. Just found 3 cases in the cooler this weekend.

 

I'm most excited about running the Rum King mile. Hopefully next year they add a vented mouth hole and punch top.

 

I'll be up at 3M in Maplewood next Wednesday/Thursday. Does that mean I'll have a chance to buy some Rum King cans? :droolyface:

 

Funkwerks just arrived at Stinson. Looked like only 2 cases of each: Nelson Sauvin, Saison, Tropic King and Soleena (plus bombers of Cascade). I made a dent in it, sorry.

They also have Damien.

Kind of a cellar sale at zipps. Some vintage anchor christmas magnums and other holiday brews, 2010 bigfoot. Also had Damien, 7 bucks no limit.

Its been reported by a guy who has talked to evil twin, that it will see distribution in all evil twin markets, albeit in very small amounts....so basically we will see it but not much

I know some folks mentioned this here before, but has anyone heard if we will be getting Lakefront's Brandy Barrel Imperial Pumpkin? I think it hit the Milwaukee area a few weeks back but figured it'd be here (or at least Hudson) with Halloween only three or so weeks away. Thanks!

 

Saw some hit the Rapids liquor yesterday I believe? I would assume more would be hitting the shelves soon at other places.

 

Anyone know when Death by Coconut and CW Stout is hitting the shelves?

 

Last year, CW BBA Stout hit in December.

 

Sometime in second half of October I was told by distibuter. Oscars Blues hasn't given them an exact date yet.
