Bruery 2016 RS/HS Allocations

It's not just the Bruery, happens with every club when new members join. It's fun to watch.

Who is crying? Preservation society members? I don't hear any PS members crying about anything. I think PS members are happier than ever, it is truly the best time to be a PS member.

 

The PS thread had people bummed they can't start buying RS beers now and get their 15% off, which is what we're referring to. The point is if you upgrade to RS for 2017, the membership starts in 2017. Assuming it begins now is just beyond stupid.

why would anyone want to go to the PS thread? that's like the society equivalent of walking through skid row

 

I didn't include everyone, but clearly several are. "Full of idiots" Means there's a lot of idiots. Not neccessarily all of course. And no, I'm HS so why would I care about lowly RS members?

Maybe I came off as harsh, I just don't get people buying into something with zero knowledge of said thing, and then expect current members to hold their hand through it when The Bruery's website clearly outlines and answers every possible question they could ever come up with.

It's not like we're in 1980 here. The internet can pretty much answer every single question ever conceived with just a few keystrokes.

 

And for the record, I was replying to @RDMII and it wasn't about anyone specific. This is a yearly thing though. People have zero clue what they just paid $300 for. I just think its funny. You don't exactly walk in to best buy and give them $300 and tell them to just give you something, yet people will do it with beer.

 

I think it's OK to get on the PS thread and express excitement about moving up to RS. I think it's also OK to express that you wish you could be in the RS already and that it's a long 3 months to wait. Those don't feel like idiotic things to talk about to me. Those seem completely legitimate. Frankly I can't wait to be part of the HS next year and I'm bummed to be missing out on the remaining HS exclusive beers this year.

Now if there are people over there (or here) saying "WTF?!?! I thought I was part of the RS right away!!!!!" then those people are probably idiots...

 

This is the most tiresome thread on BA, which is no small feat.

 

Just think in about two months we can restart this all over again with the 2017 thread!

 

Yea, there are definitely some confused folks in the PS thread. I saw it as confusion, not crying. Its craft beer, #newmoney like crazy. Especially right now, especially at the Bruery.

Anyways, can anyone report on the 20% BT from last night?

 

Checked in to see if there were any reviews from last night but that was too much to hope for so carry on with why people don't understand a 2017 membership starts in 2017 because we haven't done that every year.
