They will fill any growler that has the warning blurb printed on it.

Suarez is a rare thing. Their mission statement is perfectly in tune with what I like, and they deliver on this exceptionally well. They are hitting their goals wonderfully. I agree with cavedave's reaction. I hope they manage to remain exactly what they want to be. I am noticing their beer list climbing. I hope they manage to avoid the trap of constantly reinventing their wheel, but I understand if market conditions force them to do otherwise.

They definitely sound like the kind of brewery I wish I lived closer to .

So far, I haven't run into their stuff on a taplist, but will make it a priority when I do. I'd love to see more of them, Sloop and Kent Falls around town.

My folks have a pretty new Beer World location near them in Monticello, with a locally-oriented growler station. Hopefully they turn up there as well, or maybe I'll put a bug in their ear with the holidays coming up...

On this topic, I've noticed that Industrial Arts State of the Art is already up to variant batch #40. These two breweries are obviously being compared to each other initially. This sort of perpetual motion is such a turn-off for me.

Not sure if you caught any of Chief's interviews or the most recent article about what they intend to do, but he is pretty much committed to not having a flavor of the month philosophy, other than he wants to have one hoppy pale that showcases the latest developments in hop technology.

@TongoRad Suarez is showing up on tap lists in my area (sadly the brewery is 50 min. from me when no traffic) but I would expect that to expand for a while until it turns into Hill Farmstead south. I would expect you will get at the DeCicco's nearest you, or at Cable, or any of the better Rockland pubs.

I'm assuming the best and only way to the brewery is driving? If so is there anything to do in the near by area? Possibly looking for something to do for a couple of hours afterwards before driving again.

Hudson is a nice little town right on the river about 10 miles North, but your best bet is gonna be to also hit Sloop and then head back south and hit some of the breweries in the Poughkeepsie area. Hit Plan Bee's farmstand, Bacchus, Millhouse, etc.

Finally had Hecto tonight, second style after a couple pints of the pilsner a few weeks back -- there's not really much negative to be said about what they make. Hecto is one of the best pale ales I've had -- when the bartender brought it over to me, I was doubting that it was the right beer based on the appearance.

The beers are not mind-blowing in doing something "new", but mind-blowing in doing each style so well that I think "man, if I were going to brew a(n) X, I'd want it to be this." I'm thoroughly anticipating what shows up on draft this fall/winter.

Do they fill 64-oz / 2L growlers? All I've seen so far have been flip-top 750s.

I have filled every size and shape there but a 2L, and pretty sure I saw one getting filled for someone else.

Is Dan seemingly always at the brewery? And if so, is he always super busy working? I would love to see the brewhouse and space and maybe poke his brain on a few things.

I’m pretty sure he’s always there, or at least until Enzo takes over. Dan is very forthcoming, and willing to talk to anyone…pick his brain

"suarezfamilybreweryUs field mice will be venturing down to Brooklyn next Thursday (10/20) to partake in two events: @themeathook will be pouring two of our beers and slinging sausages in their back yard. Afterwards, we will head over to @spuytenduyvilnyc, where they will have 6 of our beers on tap (including the debut of Triangular Nature, one of our mixed culture 'country beers'). Come out and hang with us!"

that wild ale sounds great. love everything this brewery is putting out.
