Fair point about the discount but that shouldn't be the only remaining selling point for HS.

Exactly. These wine/beer HS exclusive beers aren't as small batch as people may expect, and then nobody in HS wants to max them out. Hopefully Bruery is looking at this, and can move these beers into the RS pool and give HS better/true exclusives moving forward.

Strange that a beer made 2+ years ago would be up for judging. You sure it wasn't W4?

Such a solid beer, always get a keg for our fall party and non- craft beer people love it too.

Is So Happens it's Tuesday supposed to be a sour? I opened a bottle yesterday (from 2016) and the smell and taste were both really sour. It's my first time trying it so I wasn't sure. I was expecting BT with some extra barrel to it but it didn't even taste like a stout.

So Happens It's Tuesday is a well known infected beer, if you still have the bottle, let the societies desk know (also have the bottle number and whatnot that's etched on the neck) and they'll take care of you.

I'll say that the new batch just released (sampled in tasting room) tastes exactly like the bottles from the first batch I had (lucky so far I guess). Not extra barrel, I would call it BT Light. Great flavor but more approachable.

    No.

I think some clarification is needed here. 2014 was fully infected and bottles were not released because of infection.

The first 2016 batch was hit or miss, with (I think) more hits than misses. All my bottles, tasted as intended.

Your advice is solid, if followed I'm sure The Bruery will make this right.

I think this description is spot on.

Yeah this didn't taste anything like Black Tuesday. It was very sour and smelled funky.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but if you see a bottle say "imperial stout" and nothing that says "sour" or "wild" on it, it's safe to assume that it's an infected bottle.

Plus there's been plenty of discussion about potential soured bottles so unless you just crawled out from under a rock, this should be common knowledge.

Enjoying a White Mocha right now. No hint of anything sour as mentioned a page (or a few pages back). Glad I got another bottle on Friday.

I agree, sometimes the White Oak Sap can be a little sourish if you eat the right foods before. I've noticed this with a bottle of White Chocolate. I had a glass and closed it up, I initially thought it was infected but the next day it tasted fine.

Yeah, just wanted to confirm. Luckily this is my first infected bottle. Didn't realize it was an issue with the SHIT bottles from 2016 and I'm a relatively new BA who just moved to CA within the past year from underneath a rock. Thanks for the heads up.
