At jpm said, bottles are available at the brewery, and I believe only at the brewery, at least for this release. Per their Facebook only 7 cases left!

I got a sixtel of Westbrook Citrus Ninja into the Girffon yesterday, and a sixtel of Boy King on Tuesday. Get it!

Went there yesterday afternoon and neither were on tap yet :slight_frown: The brewery still had bottles as of Sat. morning, not sure how much is left though.

I went to CBX yesterday and they had a few bottles of Boy King. It caught me off guard as I was under the impression that the bottles were brewery only this release. Just thought I'd pass on the info if anyone was still looking.

Glad to see CBX get some. I love COAST and the anti-hype attitude but I'd like to see the local shops have it a bit more. And I'm not a local any more so I'm not being selfish.

Yeah they have an interesting attitude. I was talking to an employee at Bottles a while ago, and he said COAST will only distribute to them if they keep ALL the COAST beers in the fridge. They cant be on the non-fridge shelf. Make sense that they want their beers to stay fresh, but I thought that was pretty picky. Probably not the best business model, but I do appreciate the emphasis on quality above all else!

Technically, we sent 35% of this batch of Boy King bottles to local stores. For the most part, we do send out a % of every release (however small that may be). It's important to us to spread it around to our accounts as much as we can.

Sort of. We have been at max capacity since we opened (almost 5 years now!) so we don't take new accounts(so there is no choice who to distribute to at the moment). But yes, we do ask nicely to store refrigerated.

Nope, typically the same amount of Boy King every time and usually about the same amount sent out to accounts. All 3 batches this year were sold both at the brewery and at least a few stores.

Appreciate the reply. Love your product and what ya'll did as a movement in SC. Being a small brewery and putting out such a great product leads to some frustration amongst buyers and sellers. I'll see ya Thursday Oct. 4, I'll be touring your brewery and buying bottles to bring home to VA. Can't wait!

There's the problem right there. Talking to someone at Bottles about beer. They're trying, but most of the folks in there are just warm bodies. If I want some advice on my beer purchases, I'll be at CBX.
They've been very helpful to me when picking out liquor, though. There's a blonde girl in there who knows more about bourbon than anyone I've ever seen. I thought I knew bourbon until I went to pick out a nice bottle for a customer last year.

Boy King was as good as I remembered. I was very impressed with my stop at the brewery Sat morning (sorry for showing up a tad bit too early!), my only disappointment was not being able to buy more to take home with me!
