Pro-tip, bring your own glassware and transfer pours. Worked at prior parties, might be frowned on at an unlimited pour event.

might be frowned on but I agree with this I'd bring a few tasters. worst they could say is no right?

I'm still thinking had warmers might do the trick tho

it's situations like this (the serving temperature issue) that remind us of the hard fact that life is not always easy, and can sometimes be downright unfair.

According to their most recent instagram post, Black Tuesday will be available to the public this year, but WITHOUT the lottery system. It will be available first come fist served, on black tuesday, Oct 25th at 10 am. Blog - http://www.thebruery.com/black-tuesday-2016-release/

As in years past, a limited number of bottles will be available for sale to the public. In previous years, we conducted a lottery – winners were randomly selected and we notified them of their opportunity to purchase Black Tuesday. This lottery process was partly necessary due to constraints of our previous online platform (and the continuous crave and demand for Black Tuesday, which Patrick initially called “the beer from hell” – see the post).

Fast forward to present day and we have a new, more robust, scalable online platform for conducting online sales. As such, the 2016 public release of Black Tuesday will be conducted live on our website, TheBrueryStore.com, on Black Tuesday itself.

    • Date: Tuesday, October 25, beginning at or around 10:00 a.m.
    • Where: TheBrueryStore.com
    • Limit: Three bottles per person (first-come, first-served)
    • Retail price: $29.99 plus tax
The sale is open to all customers, including Society members, who currently have guaranteed access to purchase bottles of Black Tuesday as part of their October allocations (through Friday, October 21). Reserve and Hoarders Society members will receive an extra allocation of Black Tuesday (first-come, first-served) on Monday, October 24.

Their new site sucks. This is going to be a disaster for them.
Having an item in your cart doesn't guarantee you get a bottle. You can get almost all the way through the checkout and get shutout.

I guess this way they sell all they want to. If someone did win the lottery there was no obligation to buy.

A quick question. If a trustee picks up the bottles for me, will those be packaged in a box like they used those boxes for shipping or just hand out the bottles?

I've always just gotten a standard slotted case (not the cardboard wine shipper).

If you are talking about the preservation society package, you will not get that unless it is for your preservation package. The remaining bottles will be in hand out boxes.

    No, definitely not.

Even the PS package box won't work. You would have to put that package in another box.

Fyi :The tasting room sells 12 shipper boxes, and they are the best!

Do you remember one of the early parties where they had the cask of smoking wood with bacon? I recall liking it, but the pig fat floaties were kind of gross.

If Black Tuesday follows suit with other recent rare/limited releases that aren't new beers, it should be very easy to get.

Honestly, good for them. If they're able to sell to the public, that means they make a crapton now. I'm definitely ok with lots of Black Tuesday for everyone.

Also, Chocolate Rain on day two is amazing.

2017 RS newb here. Question for those that renewed. Is anything changing next year? Any added benefits? Or did I just screw myself into maxing out on more bottles next year, instead of the one or two limits i got this year as PS?

Not sure how PS works but reserve you have until March the following year to pick up that year's orders. For example, 2017 reserve has until March 2018 to pick up
