Latest Pipeworks Releases and Updates (2018)

Underwhelmed with Scarlet, the raspberry just tasted too artificial, wanted more tartness.

 

Not sure how official this is... but possibly a collaboration between pipeworks and toppling Goliath in the near future?

 

PW just tweeted that they are brewing a collab with them today - Double Creature Feature DIPA with a habanero kick.

I was excited until I saw the habanero.

 

I hear ya. Could go either way for me..

 

I seem to be one of the very few people that loves heat in my beer (if fitting), so I'm stoked for this.

 

FWIW - if anyone is still looking for Scarlet Betta they had some at Binny's Grand today.

 

I think it's a combination of PW expanding production and the chasers understanding that, frankly, this is probably people's least favorite of the fish series (and I'm not suggesting that this is a bad beer, because it's far from it). I just don't think that there's any way you see Square Grouper (or whatever it's called now) sitting on the floor after 3 days.

 

Random thought since it's a new thread: does anyone else miss some of the random beers Pipeworks used to brew more often?

I know I was a fan of their Belgian style beers, which you don't really see anymore (yes, I assume I am forgetting one or two).

I'm not ripping Pipeworks at all, I love their IPA's. I just miss some of the variety.

 

Pipeworks still brews a lot of "random" beers, maybe just not as often. I can think of these in the last few months off the top of my head...

-Sangremancer
-Logan Carre
-Raspberry Berliner
-Stormy and Dark
-Dark Matter Machine
-Cucumber Saison
-Tiki Time
-Twin Pines Mall
-Etc.

 

Yeah, as I said, you still see some. However, going through their batches, it seems like it's 75% pale ales now. Good ones, but I miss stuff like North&Western and End Boss.

 

I personally miss Last Kiss/BA Last Kiss..I haven't seen it in a couple years at least.

 

Appears the old ones are unlocked.

 

I think with the PW beers they don't hit places the same day. So if it gets a few negative comments, it doesn't sell as quickly at the Tuesday or Wednesday maybe? And if Binnys Grand git Scarlet Betta yesterday - not even that long.

 

Sitting here in my preferred drinking establishment and they have 2 different Abductions, Grand Guignol, Reaper vs Unicorn, Careful Man There's a Beverage Here, Sangremancer, Holloway and Pineapple Bling.

Yeah, but still!

 

I think it would be great to see north&western canned. I'd buy that or End Boss in cans over War Bird for sure

 

Pipeworks needs to open up a taproom so I can have my wedding there

 

Sangremancer is fucking delicious. So smooth, and the blood orange is absolutely spot on. Kudos the Pdubs for this one. 3 bottles, and want more.

 

And paradisiac!!!
