I heard from a buddy(who knows an employee) that the price point will be close to $20/4 pack.....

Price per oz at $20/4 pack much lower than bomber price at $17 ($.42 vs $.68 if my math is right) but it will be interesting to see how fast they sell as $20 for four 12 oz cans.

Completely agree and worse yet how many places plan on selling these as $10 single 12 oz cans :slight_frown:

Rando out-of-towner pops into the local Total Wine while visiting from Winnpeg.

Sees a $15 per single on the dry shelf. Thinks to self: "Seems legit, eh?" :grinning:

$20 for 4 pack doesn't sound so bad

Agreed. I wouldn't buy more than one, just like I probably wouldn't end up with more than one bomber. It's not like the change in format means we're all going to fill our fridges with Rum King and take coolers-full up to the cabin.
"Just mowed the lawn; time to pound six cans of Rum King. Wish they weren't so damn expensive!"

Speak for yourself! I'm not sure who (other than the people who calculate profits) decided "Big beers, big bottle, little beers, little bottles" when it should be the other way around, but there's a sad void of small format barrel-aged beers. I stock up on Central Waters stuff & if Rum King cans are plentiful & not rapaciously priced, I'll add a few four-packs to my winter pile too.

Amen to that! Central waters sure makes it easy for me to open, consume and rebuy vs all the bombers im reluctant to open when I'm flying solo!

Don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely in favor of the smaller format. And I love the CW stuff, too, and buy as much as I can because not only do I find it reasonable, I find it downright cheap! That being said, the point is what do you find rapaciously priced (really? "Rapaciously?" Who are you, Joe Vocab?)? I think $20 is a reasonable price, but I wouldn't stock up at that price. That's me.

I'm an old Journalism Major. I can't help it.

I have no idea what the price point is that would keep me from stocking up. Not where CW prices it; but not where BA Blackout is ($30/4 pack) either. At $15/4 pack for a fantastic rum stout in cans yes, $20? Maybe I'd just buy two four packs...

$19.99 4pk... slow distribution start of week ,1-2 4pk limits at most stores with some Tuesday sell outs, more should be available by end of week.

I was just responding to the Q above about what price people were paying.
FWIW, TW's as well as many other places are at $17.99 :sunglasses:
    YMMV.
