Dan's Hospice Care Fund *Raffle*

On New Year's Ever of 2015, my father in law was diagnosed with Stage 4 Bladder Cancer and initially the doctor thought he had only a couple of months to live. He has been going through chemo and even was the first person in the Philadelphia to be approved for a recently approved cancer treatment back in July. Despite fighting his hardest, he recently went on hospice.

Both him and my mother in law work in retail, where it's driven by commission. Unfortunately, my mother in law is now not working in order to take care of him while he is receiving end of life care.

In order to try to help raise money to help ease the financial burden on two people who have always put the needs of others first, my sister in law started a GoFundMe campaign. To help raise money, I'm going to be doing 3 raffles.

Rules:

- Deadline is midnight 10/31/16, I will draw names on 11/1/16 (which will be video taped)
- $5 gets you one entry in the raffle of your choice, $20 gets you 5 total entries
- If you donate, please put your BA name in the comments and then shoot me a message on here letting me know which raffle(s) you'd like to be entered into along with the receipt of the donation you should get e-mailed to you

In addition to the bottles/cans in the raffles above, I will add to each raffle a 32oz growler/crowler of a beer from a local brewery (Kane, Carton, Conclave, etc.) that I will check with the winner to see what they would like.

Down to the last day to get entries into the raffles. So far thanks to your generosity, we've been able to add $425 to Dan's hospice fund. Let's try to get it over $500 before the drawings! Thank you all for your generous donations and please share if you can.

 

Thanks to everybody who donated. We were able to raise a total of $445 to help my in-laws with their expenses while Dan is on hospice. I have the names all ready to go for the raffles, just waiting on my wife to come home so I can video tape the drawings. Hopefully I'll have something up this afternoon. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!

 

My wife and I just did the drawings, however the videos didn't come out with loud enough sound, so I'm just going to post the results and stats here.

Overall we raised $445, which I'm blown away by the generosity of everybody. I wanted to give Tim from Conclave a huge thank you as he donated a growler of Mexican Morning, which was extremely awesome.

It is with a very heavy heart to let you all know that Dan lost his battle with cancer shortly after midnight this morning. In the last few days he was very appreciative of the generosity shown on here and made me promise to thank
you all. From Dan and my family, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
