I didn't catch this until now - they added Chocolate Cherry Rain and dry-hopped Frucht for the party.

    farewell liver.

Even better yet, since this is a beer website, you can search in the corner too...

I didnt think it was possible, but congrats, this thread has become worse than the Pittsburgh one.

    In other more on-topic news...

Finally got around to drinking all the elements of funk beers. Other than it being dangerously over-carbonated they were decent. Albeit, we could hardly taste the differences between the different brett expressions since the major flavors in them were carbonics.

Surely a mod would know that optimal serving temp of a big stout is far warmer than what comes out a keg...

I'm not sure of the surprise here.

Sure, but to complain about not having your verticals the same temp at a beer festival??

It's a beer fest. A party. Not some sit down cicerone circle jerk. Enjoy it for what it is and enjoy some good company and what's I'm sure amounts to a killer tap list.

Not surprised people will complain about anything these days, even something as care free and a luxury as good beer

Maybe bring a sock lightly filled with rice to wrap around your beer to warm it up?

Does wonders for a stiff neck so i am sure it will quickly increase stout temp to drinkable level.

Ha. Just realized this means we're getting 9 Ladies Dancing before 8 Maids. Bizarre.

8 Maids was last year. BA versions are always the following year.

by vert i meant being able to try everything and not have to rush the beers and be able to let it warm up to an optimal temp. I dont go to beer festivals to drink 100 pours as fast as a i can, i go to drink a handful and enjoy them. Last year it was only 10 pours and I still had trouble getting through them all cause all of the flavors were muted because it was too cold and i had to sit there with my hands wrapped around my glass to warm it up as fast as possible. . and in the timeframe we had, i had about 13 minutes per beer, which with conversation, is not long at all.

but yeah, take my constructive criticism as complaining...sure...

At least that Rum BT was bottle poured at a decent temp last year. That was nice.

that was the ONLY one that i actually enjoyed, cause the bottles were sitting out on the table and at the proper temp, aka not ice cold.

So, I know someone mentioned brining in separate cups before, to get a pour, then pour into the spare glass (repeat) to let them warm up a bit before tasting.

Can anyone at the Bruery confirm one way or the other if this is ok or not.

It's not cool to be sneaky and circumvent the rules when you ask for permission first.

Niku does have a point, if he's going to enjoy a vertical of a good beer, why not enjoy it at the correct temperature to thoroughly enjoy it? If the shoe was on the other foot and they were serving sours at room temperature people would be having a fit about the beer being served far too warm.

And yes, I do know that some sours should be served at ambient temperatures, but I'm just using it as an example.

I'm a square and I know it... Actually, I just don't want to do anything to get kicked out after paying that ticket price for me and the wifey.
