Husband and I just did a small baseball and beer tour to Cleveland, Chicago and Pittsburg. We saw 4 games and the home team lost them all. We did hit a homerun on the beer end of our adventure.

 

I am looking forward to a session-able weekend

Went with a Founder's mixer for the most part (all stuff I've had before) and a few new ones:
Guinness Foreign Extra - the only Guinness worth drinking?
Founders Centennial IPA - Founders + IPA = !
Founders Breakfast Stout - oatmeal for adults
Founders Double Trouble - Founders + DIPA = !!
Nogne O Imperial Stout - can't wait - loved their porter last week
Founders Devil Dancer - the beer that got me into Founders
Founders Old Curmudgeon - grrrr *shakes fist at children*
Founders Imperial Stout - all these stouts go directly to my waistline
Belzebuth - what the hell is this? 13% abv, French, only one on the shelf (used to be sold in a 3-pack?), '07 bottling date - how could I resist?

Little bit of shopping from this morning of stuff I haven't found around here before (mikkeller and the founders/green flash) and some month old breakfast stout and 60 min. To drinking!

 

My white whale. Been trying to get one for my birthday to do all BCBS variations. But no luck. One day...... One day

 

Dogfish Head Midas Touch and 2009 Avery The Czar imperial stout. Bought from Whole Foods. I havent seen either of these in a long time, especially the Avery since they don't distribute in AZ anymore. Super excited. I'm thinking I should go back next week and get the last 2 Czars and cellar them since I already have a 3 year head start with them.

 

I can't read it and I don't know enough about BCBS to know which one this is. Could anyone enlighten me?

8 bottles of La Roja Grand Reserve (though 6 are destined for other homes)

 

Do they distribute the 12oz La Roja outside of MI? I haven't seen them in NJ or FL and I prefer 12oz.

 

Grand Reserve is brewery-only. They did do some regular 330's (not Grand Reserves) a little while back, but I don't know what the distribution was on those.

 

Ah, I didn't even realize there was a separate grand reserve... ISO
