Saw a local bottle shop post a photo. 12 packs with the old Santa cookie logo!

How do you know it's a seasonal?

The santa logo is a bit of a tip off.

    I grabbed a 12 pk. $17. Less than a month old.

Yes, I'm an idiot. I made the lazy mistake of responding to a thread title without reading the op.

I never liked the year round version; tasted like crackery malt. The seasonal release, however, was a gem.

    How is it tasting?

I always loved that label when it was originally released back in 2011...glad to read the TTB has loosened up and allowed it back into the fold (considering all of the other outrageous artwork they have approved in the last year).

Does the label describe it as "Lagunitas Sucks, Brown Shugga' Substitute Ale" or simply as "Lagunitas Sucks"?

Is it back to the original ABV of 7.85% or is does it remain the revised, 8.0%?

It says "Lagunitas Sucks Ale" with the Santa in the middle, and it states that it is 8%.

If you all look up #lagunitassucks on instagram there are several photos of the 12 pack artwork and the 12oz bottle!

No it does not. The new label simply says "Ale." Unless it is tucked around the corner and cannot see it.

It's not exclusively available in 12 packs is it? I haven't bought the 12th of Never Ale yet for that same reason. Like, I don't doubt that it's probably pretty good, but damn, what a stupid marketing decision.

I see what you mean. With so many beers out there 12pk only is a commitment especially if you dont really like it youre stuck with twice the usual amount.

I'm sure it will be available as 6-packs.

If they can make this beer exclusively Fall/ Winter seasonal like they did and recapture that "magic" from years ago, then I have an excuse to buy nearly a case every year.

    Otherwise... forget it.

Exactly. I do love Sucks and I don't necessarily have a problem with buying a 12 pack, but most of the time I'd rather buy smaller amounts of beer at a time than larger, unless I'm going to a party or camping trip. Especially with me being as big of a ticker I am, even buying one whole six pack of something often seems like a commitment. Haha. I've heard of beer stores where everything is only available as singles and the entire store is meant for build-your-own six packs. I wish I had one those around here because that would be perfect for me.

I would generally agree with this sentiment, but, dammit, go buy some 12th of Never. It's been the most reliable occupant of my fridge since its release.
