LA/OC Supermarket & Bottleshop Thread (October 2016)

I saw that on IG... I would think a few other Socal places got it as well. Same day delivery, not bad!

 

Yeah! I'm kind of surprised. I would think that other local spots would have gotten it, but so far the only other places I can see have gotten it today are NorCal spots.

 

Had Coronado North Island DIPA (7.9%) yesterday and it's tasty as heck, and pretty murky to boot for all the haze heads.

Currently on at Simmzys LBC...

 

Landed at Whittier Liquor today. It'd be cool if their goal was to get all of this distributed out by tomorrow to make it officially "Born Yesterday."

 

Headed to Coronado for a wedding this weekend and Coronado Brewing is the only beer stop on the itinerary so hopefully they are pouring it at the brewery as well!

 

Hi - any recommendations for the Newport Beach area, in terms of bottle shops or bars with a good draft selection?

 

Hi-Times and Whole Foods would be my first two picks. Whole Foods also has a bar but can be quite pricey outside happy hour. Yard House is serviceable. Beachwood is opening their HB spot next month as well.

 

Barley Forge is near bye as well

 

Liquor Mart just received Breaking Bud 4-pack for 10.99 canned 10/08, what a deal!

 

Holy shit I didn't know it was that soon. I'm excited.

 

Wow, that is almost the same price as a 22oz. If they keep it as those prices they may have worked their way back into the rotation.

 

Last year I seem to recall Lagunitas Born Yesterday showing up 4-5 days late in Socal, any word if that'll be expected to happen again?

 

I didn't even know they were canning now. This is great news!

 

Just grabbed a sixer at Whole Foods DTLA.

 

Provisions Market in Orange is/was popping off today, doing flights of pours from six different 3F bottles (Hommage and Framboos, Oude Geuze & OG Golden Blend, Oude Kriek, Intense Red), at least that many if not more Cascade offerings, and some other weird one-offs like HPB Cherry ****z. A super-cool surprise as I'd just strolled in for a sandwich.

 

Yeah, it's their annual Tart & Funky fest and it goes on till Thursday, I believe. Each day, different offerings.

 

Hey guys, looking for Born Yesterday in OC, preferably Huntington Beach area.

 

I asked Bradley's in Tustin and he said, "updates on Friday"... is this Harbor beverage? I remember last year we didn't get it for almost 4-5 days after the rest of California.

Parts of LA county had it Mon night/Tues morning.

 

Laguna Hills TW had Beachwood Amalgamator, Citraholic and Pride of Chops in the cold room last night.

 

Haven't even been able to find it in the south bay area. Had to drive out of my way to grab 2 sixers yesterday.
