MGM Saint Paul is randomly selecting 12 people who use the hashtag #MGMDarknessDrawing on Twitter to purchase bottles. The drawing is on Sunday and you have a week to stop in and buy the bottles. There is no mention or price or bottle limit.

Such anger. Wish there weren't a black market, but it shows that the beer economy is healthy at least.

 

Incorrect. It shows capitalism is healthy.

For the rest of us, the ever-spiraling price on the 'secondary market' will inevitably mean more $50 bottles of sought-after beers, because the brewers will think "Hey, we may as well get a piece of that pie."

So any anger thrown that way is justified.

 

Or ignorant buyers and sellers. There are other sites out there that can't be mentioned here where you can get if for much cheaper, vintage versions too.

 

I just don't get the point of driving around to get one bottle at a time and then selling it for a meager profit. So many more efficient ways of making a buck. It's bottom feeding.

Some jerk just texted me about Darkness. The tone was real rude too. Some people.....

 

They posted their number on craigslist. I am just sharing the information.

 

They haven't reached bottom yet. The pioneer press has a story about people stealing from little libraries.

 

I went there to get Rum King. The last 2 bottles of Darkness were on the checkout table. I passed. Not worth it for the price anymore. That's my opinion and it looks like I'm in the minority.

Darkness really isn't "special" anymore. So many breweries have BA stouts now let alone "regular" imperial stouts. It really does get lost in the shuffle and it should be a canned year round offering from Surly.
