There's a boat launch on a pond off Rt 20 just west of the Sturbridge strip. Should be convenient if you're coming from the east.

That be East Brimfield Lake and the wife and I love to kayak there. If you launch on the south side of Route 20 it is a little bit easier to get to the river that connects East Brimfield Lake with Holland Pond. The river that connects them is a lazy little river great for birding and relaxing with several stop spots along the way. If you have your own canoe or kayaks I recommend it!

Another option I have paddled is Bigelow Hollow State Park down in CT, really nice easy paddle around a pond. Might be a little bit of a detour though as it's not the easiest place to get to.

Best of luck and if you have any questions let me know!

Many thanks for the knowledge sharing! Looking forward to exploring the waterways. I just hope the maples aren't too bare by late next week now. Cheers!

I noticed on TH's Twitter and the web site they are only canning Haze as of right now. Is that normally the case on Wed to have only one can going? I'm heading up there next Wed around 2pm.

On Tap page is looking particularly MA-ish. That would be awesome this week, but I hope it doesn't get mixed in on can Wed. I need my MA!

There is another canning run planned for tomorrow that will be available the same day.

Wednesday always has 2 canning runs available, one from Tuesday and then whatever they can Wednesday morning (which they usually announce between 9 and 11am). Wednesdays are usually a solid day to get their "flagship" beers (Green, Julius, Alter Ego, Haze) and others like Bright, Doppelganger, etc . . .

At 2pm, you'll be easy in and out for cans is my guess. Have fun! Leave some Haze for me on Thursday ;-)

Did you actually read the website? It clearly states that they have another canning run planned for Wednesday.

Thanks to all that responded nicely. I am aware TH does 2 cans on Wed. I have been visiting this page religiously for 2 months with anticipation for this trip. I was just stating that at 2pm central time I only saw Haze was being canned. I was wondering if something was up. Or if maybe the 2nd can isn't available until later in the day. Just paying more attention to detail now that the trip is around the corner. Cheers guys.

Usually the Wednesday can run is packaged while they're open. If you get there early enough you'll see the machine at work. That alone is pretty cool.

Yeah no worries. Treehouse has great communication but I remember having lots of questions my first trip too!

What the hell is up today?!
    Place is ridiculously packed.
This can't be typical for Wednesday.

Can we start to call Doppelganger "King Ego" or "Very Alter"? 3 of the Imperial versions of their "core 4" beers get all the hype, while Dopp consistently flies under the radar and is freaking delicious.

On second thought, I like that there's no hype around it - more available on Day 2!

I was just surprised it was park in the cornfield, 25 min wait in line type of busy.

Beautiful area though. Had a fun ride through back roads of CT, lots of twisties to race through.

Talked to some friendly guys in line so it was nice experience but not sure how often I would do for 12 cans.

Sounds like a typical Wednesday. Things usually die down later in the afternoon.

What time do people typically start lining up on Fridays? I'll be in the area for work and thinking about making the stop for some cans. Any insight would be great, thanks!
