Hey guys, I want to take a minute to clarify AleSmith's approach to managing the flow of traffic into and out of the Anvil & Stave. Monday through Thursday, all you need is the password to get beer inside the A&S, no ticket is necessary. Friday through Sunday, you'll need to the password in order to get a ticket from the gift shop, which will grant you access to the A&S during the ticket's specified time.
This is an ever evolving format that I'm sure will change as time goes on. For now, we find that this is the best approach due to traffic demands. If, after getting a ticket and entering the A&S on the weekend, you find the room nearly empty, just know that there are people that acquired a ticket and then either went in, got beer and then brought them out, or simply didn't go in at all. Unfortunately those things do happen, but in the grand scheme of things, the ticket system on Fridays and the weekends seems to be working.
We are open to any and all feedback in regards to the Anvil & Stave and really any aspect of our ever changing tasting room experience.

Am I seeing that right as $11.54 per 2oz pour? Or 4 2oz pours with only 1 revealed?

 

11.54 gets you four 2oz pours, with only one revealed now.

 

In for Thursday. One of my favorite beer week events.

 

What are some other good events happening on those last few days of beer week? I'll be there 10/10-16 all the way from Charleston and staying in the gaslamp area. I got lucky and have a conference those dates and am looking to drink some great brews while in the area. I'll spare you the "where to drink in SD?" question as there are enough threads but just curious how beer week plays out.

I just fell into this after looking for the bottle logic eventbrite tix thread, I recall alesmith being dicks last visit because I didn't have a ticket for a bottle of speedway and they wouldn't sell me one. Well I did just get my tix for wens I will be there at open to try all 4 laps then head to vegas. Wens the 9th will be a lllooonnnggg day

I stay with my family when I visit SD.

 

Avocado ice cream is pretty delicious tho.
