Hoof Hearted (Oct 2016-Dec 2016)

I'm aiming for the evening session since I'll have to drive 3 hours too, but I would imagine they would hold kegs for that session. Doesn't make sense to have them kicked by the time another group comes. Now, the other kegs will probably be gone (wws, the South African dipa) but if I can't Atleast try dragonsaddle, I'll be pretty pissed.

 

That is exactly the reason. They just couldn't get the hops required to brew this beer (or Cultrider) due to hop contracts taking up those precious hops.

Now that its harvest season, they were able to get enough.

 

Oh damn, no wonder I liked Cultrider so much. Haven't had the pleasure of trying Dragonsaddle so hoping I score a ticket here!

 

I work around the corner from the restaurant on 4th. Does Hoof Hearted typically have cans available to sell? I know their website cites Wednesdays as a day when they might, is this still the case? Sure, I love growlers and all but their tallboys have come in quite handy in the past and I rarely run across their product at local stores.

 

Welp, you guys were right. Morning ones were snatched up instantaneously, while there were 250 afternoon ones still available at the same time. Looks like I'll be heading to the afternoon, but that was the original plan anyway. Too much going on in Cleveland for me to miss out on!

 

Cultrider is basically Dragonsaddle with the addition of roasted malts. I actually like Cultrider quite a bit more for this reason and can't wait for that to come around... Soon!

 

I believe the brewer said on Facebook that it doesn't matter what session you have ticket to, you can show up and buy your allotment at any point throughout the day. Which kind of defeats the purpose of the two sessions, but oh well.

Maybe I'm interpreting it wrong, but someone asked if they could pick it up at any time since they can't get there at 10am, and he said yes. Maybe he only meant the morning session? Also if you want a case, you can buy a ticket to each session and pick it up all at once when you arrive.

 

Got lucky and just bought a morning ticket 5 minutes ago.

 

Cans of Are We Having Fun Yet? go on sale at Brewpub at 3p today per the Hoof Brewpub Facebook page. Follow them and the brewery for can release details. They do tend to release cans and bottles at the Brewpub from time to time but not regular release schedule.

 

There are still 14 tickets left for the afternoon session. Wish I could pick up another one but I already have an afternoon session ticket

 

I love HH beers, but sometimes their business practices have me scratching my head. What is the point of the two sessions if it doesn't matter what ticket you have? Just release all 800 as one session at that point. I bought morning session tickets so I can get in and out at a somewhat reasonable time, however now there is the potential for a large chunk of those 800 to come in the morning. Not to mention the parking issues that will create.

 

Yeah I don't know wtf they are going to do regarding parking. The Sheriff showed up the last time they had this problem, and that's why they reverted to tickets. But, there being 800 tickets and the option to arrive whenever you want sort of nullifies the ticketing system. I hope they've found some extra space somewhere, otherwise the street will be lined with cars no matter what they do, and the cops will show up again.

 

Long time lurker, first time poster...

There is not a beer made that I'd stand in line for, nor buy tickets so I can purchase a few cans. I just don't understand... Maybe I'm not a true beer enthusiast after all.

 

So you posted for no reason but to call people out for buying a ticket for beer? Classy

 

I just hope that they still have my allotment when I show up at 6:55 pm. The early session will be an epic clusterfuck.
