I stopped in for a growler of Cromulent to have for a family get together on Sunday. That'll probably be the last time I get there for a few months.

    Why do you say that?
Transient wasn't listed anywhere in the GABF info & I certainly didn't see them there

because he knows the brewers name and wanted to drop it as if they are buddies.

Sounds like he was also right about them not having cans, but feel free to jump on a guy trying to answer a question from another BA about offerings and give background as to the reason for his guess.

they've been open almost six months and have had 3 can releases that have all been advertised on social media prior to the release. It doesn't take a lot of insider info to project that cans would not be available last weekend.

    Calm down.

Yes, I was in Denver for GABF. I wasn't pouring or competing, just taking the opportunity to meet up with brewer friends I don't see often.

We post constantly on Facebook with bottle and can releases. If you would like to know what we have, that is the easiest way to find out. We just got a second fermenter, so hopefully can releases will be more regular, but again, follow Facebook to know what's happening. I get dozens of messages/emails and occasionally calls (how do some of you have my number?) every week about when cans are being released. The more time I spend responding to these, the less I spend brewing and packaging, so just look at Facebook. We ALWAYS post when something is happening.

Over the next few weeks we will have several beers being released. Don't ask me what, just prepare yourself accordingly.

I know our website is a bit behind on what beer we have on tap and bottle. We are trying to stay more up to date with this.

    Cheers,
    Chris

    Chris,

Thanks for the update. Any idea on when Illinois members will see the next invoice? Thank you.

Because I follow their FB page it it made mention of it.

The owner/brewer's name is Chris, is it not? I don't believe I made any claims to being on a first name basis with him but he did tell me that was his name when I introduced myself shortly after they opened in May. As mentioned above, he posted on FB that they were in Denver.

Sorry for trying to answer a question here.

Anyone had a chance to try Buckley Light? Thinking about making the drive to pick up a case.........hoping it's not too far off base from the regular Buckley.

So far hearing that it's very coffee forward, which I love! Interested to hear how much, if any Maple is in there. Buddy is grabbing me some bottles tonight so I'll try to remember to report back.

It was quite similar to Buckley, but not quite the depth of flavor that the regular has. Flavors really came out when it reaches close to room temperature, lots of coffee, some Vanilla, not a ton of Maple, but enough to offset the super roasty base stout, which is delicious. Worth getting some bottles, although I don't know about grabbing a whole case if it's just for yourself. Cheers!

Anybody grab any of the new cans? Thoughts on the beer?

I thought Crunchy Groove was great! It's not a juice bomb like Obligatory and JIL, but awesome in it's own right. Very creamy mouth feel due to the oats, and more dank/earthy hop presence, but extremely tasty and crushable. Definitely worth picking up a few four packs for sure. Cheers!

Anyone know if there still is some Crunchy Groove cans for sale? I'd call them myself, but no phone number kinda hinders that plan.

Even if there was, they are only open Thursday-Sunday.

I gotta imagine they still have some. Post on their Facebook. They'll let you know.
